Autumn Morning Twist Gift Box

Here’s a fun way to package a few treats that’ll really leave your recipient wondering how in the world you made that!  Twist gift boxes are super unique and not as hard to make as they look.  Keep an eye out for the tutorial coming soon…in the meantime, enjoy this sneak peek at the new Autumn Morning Collection coming to HSN from Crafter’s Companion on July 11th.

The newest Sara Signature Collection is full of leafy dies, woodsy embossing folders, and patterned papers splashed with bright autumn hues.   Here I’ve taken a pretty ombre page from the 12″ x 12″ paper pad, die-cut it with the “Garden Vines” die, and backed it with gold vellum to create a translucent panel in my twist box.

Miniature leaves were cut out of red, orange, and yellow cardstock with the “Scattered Leaves” die set and inked with slightly darker inks around the edges to give them dimension.

In lieu of a bow, I placed several of the larger leaves from the collection (“Leaves Are Falling” dies) mixed with a few of the miniature ones onto the top of the box.  A couple of leafy flourishes (“Flourishing Leaves” dies) cut from Gold Glitter Cardstock add movement and help to frame the pretty autumn rose (“Aged Rose” die – Rustic Cottage Collection).

The box makes a great luminary as well thanks to the translucent gold panel…just stick a flameless candle in the bottom before closing it up (and never leave it unattended even if the candle is flameless).

I hope you enjoyed this sneak peek of the Autumn Morning Collection…come back around on Wednesday to see a few ways I’ve used it for home decor!

Are you looking forward to autumn?
