Baby Announcement Favor Boxes

Baby Announcement Favors by Annie Williams - Collage

Since I live far away from most of my family and friends, I wanted a cute way to announce my pregnancy that was quick and easy to make as well as cheap to ship.  These favor boxes from the Design Store could be cut in one piece, required no glue (perfect for holding food items), and be embellished in any way I wanted.

To decorate the boxes, I made my own stickers by printing several baby-themed designs onto white Silhouette Adhesive Cardstock.  I made sure to turn the registration marks on in my software before printing, so that I could have my CAMEO cut the designs out perfectly for me.

As you can see, all I had to do next was peel and stick.  The images would be used on the inside of my boxes, while the “Little One” sentiments would decorate the outside.  At the time, I did not know if we were expecting a boy or a girl, so I tried to pick gender-neutral designs and colors.

I filled treat bags (found at Hobby Lobby) with custom-printed baby blue, pink, and white pearl M&Ms.  Years ago, my wedding favors featured the same kind of yummy treats, so I thought it was fitting to use them again. 🙂

After tucking the bags into my favor boxes, I adhered one of the baby bear stickers I had printed.

Each box featured a different combination of patterns and designs.  Favor boxes were cut from “The Forever and Always” stack by DCWV (these paper stacks are always the perfect thickness for 3D projects and cut like butter, so I use them a lot).

To close the boxes up, you just need to tie a small bow with a short piece of thin ribbon.  I added the sentiment stickers to the top when I was finished.

I hope you enjoyed this quick and easy project today and would love to hear what you think!

Thanks Sharon! It’s a very exciting time for us!

These are adorable! I’ve never used the adhesive card stock, didn’t think I would ever have a use. Now I am rethinking that, so much easier for print and cut projects! Thank you for sharing!

Thank you Marilyn! I definitely substitute other brands of materials for Silhouette’s when I can, but the adhesive cardstock is one I just can’t find a comparable product for…anywhere! I’d def recommend buying a pack of white to start (or the Essentials pack).
