Celebrate Card with Inlaid Die-Cutting

Today, the gorgeous new “Together Forever” Collection is being released by Crafter’s Companion and I’m excited to share this pretty card full of die-cutting and embossing.  This collection is perfect for all of those wedding and anniversary projects, but I chose to create a birthday card instead…because I’m getting to that age when all of my friends have already gotten married if they’re going to! ?

The sentiment and heart are cut from some silver Luxury Matte Mirror Card using the “Forever in my Heart” and “Celebrate” dies from the collection.  I also cut the heart from the center of a Pearl Ivory panel and then embossed it with the “Vine Leaves” embossing folder.  This way, I could insert the silver die-cut flush with the rest of the background.

The champagne glasses are cut and embossed from Curious Translucent Iridescent Pearl Cardstock using the “Champagne Flute” die.  To fill them, I colored the back of the vellum with my FS9 Spectrum Noir Marker, leaving a bit of space at the edge to make it look like the champagne was really inside the glass.

After wrapping some coordinating ribbon around the panel, I adhered it all to a Coastal Pearl cardbase.  From this angle, you can see how pretty the embossing looks when you use the shimmering cardstock!  Although I’ll be giving this as a birthday card, I think it would work great for a summertime wedding or even a New Year’s gift too.

Thanks so much for stopping by today and I would love to hear your comments!
