Dry Erase Egg-Decorating Place Cards

I live pretty far away from the rest of my family…so most of the time I really rely on the postal service to deliver holiday fun, especially to my little niece and nephew.  In lieu of raw eggs, I decided to send these little bunny place cards for them to decorate this year.

I pieced this design together using a bit of Stampin’ Up cardstock with some Silhouette Adhesive Cardstock on top…then added an egg cut out of White Board Paper from DCWV.  I found this stuff at Michael’s a while back and it cuts beautifully for me using the regular cardstock setting in the Studio software…soooo going to find a million more ways to use die-cut White Board Paper now.
After finishing off my bunny with a little bowtie, I wanted to try out the egg surface so I just drew some doodles with a few dry erase markers I had laying around.  I have to say…this stuff performs like a whiteboard…I was pretty impressed!  It erases pretty cleanly (which is good because hopefully they won’t notice that someone already used their bunnies…) and is a nice thickness.
And of course I made a girl bunny for my niece.  If I lived closer, I would invite them over for Easter and use these as place cards at the kid’s table to keep them entertained while the rest of us eat.  Instead, I’ll just hope this keeps them coloring long enough for my brothers to get dinner on the table one night or something.
Thanks for stopping by and I’d love to hear your comments!
