Easy Gift Card Holder

Rock Style Gift Card Holder by Annie Williams - Main

Between the neighbors’ kids and my own nieces and nephews, I’ve had a ton of teen and tween milestones to celebrate lately.  And the new “rock-style” stamps being released today by Crafter’s Companion are perfect for these kinds of handmade cards and gifts.  Yesterday, I shared the full tutorial for making this easy gift card holder over on the Crafter’s Companion blog.

Inside this bright and fun card is a small pocket to hold money, a gift card, or a small note.  I hope you’ll head on over to take a look…and check out some of the new stamps while you’re there!

On a different note, last week I also needed a quick gift box and tag to house some handmade cards for a friend who needed thanking.  I used some of the beautifully ornate dies from this month’s HSN show to cut both of them – a “cornertastic flower” die to create the top of the tag and the “Regency Swirls” die from the Together Forever Collection to cut a pretty design in the top of the box.

To make the boxtop, I had to use my Gemini to cut in the center of almost a full sheet of Pearl Ivory Shimmering Cardstock before scoring it with my Ultimate Tool.  And I loved how the Yellow Pearl box base shows through the pretty design.  This shallow box is large enough to fit about five or six 5″ x 7″ cards…as long as I didn’t make them too dimensional (which I try not to do when I give them as gifts!).

Thanks for stopping by today and I’d love to hear your comments!
