Easy Halloween Luminary

Halloween Luminary by Annie Williams - Main

Too early for autumn crafting?  Apologies…the oppressive heat and humidity in my area has me screaming for my favorite season right now, so I just wanted pop in today to share a quick and easy Halloween project I made using one of the newest Create-A-Card dies from Crafter’s Companion (featured last week on HSN).  When I first saw these dies, I immediately thought they would be perfect for lots of different occasions and projects…and that little bit of a gothic feel makes them ideal for Halloween!

I simply trimmed a piece of Black Pearl Shimmering Cardstock down to 6.5″ x 11″, placed the “Candelabra” die in the very center, and cut and embossed it using my Gemini (which can fit a full sheet of cardstock!).  Then I took some vellum and colored the back of with my OR3 and LV3 Spectrum Noir markers to create a “Halloween night” ombré effect and glued the Black Pearl die-cut panel on top.

To finish it off, just roll the whole piece up, adhere the ends together with really strong glue, and stick a flameless candle inside to light up the night!  Since this is a project that literally took me a handful of minutes to complete, mass-producing these to line your porch, sidewalk, or driveway really is doable!  The “Grand Entrance” and “Classic Chandelier” dies are also perfect for Halloween (come to think of it, they’d make pretty Christmas projects too!).

I hope you have a great weekend and thank you so much for stopping by today!
