Floral Donut Box

Happy Friday!  One of my favorite kinds of gift to give is the kind that is for no reason, so today I wanted to share an idea that is a great way to make the day of a coworker or a neighbor.  This little box (made with my Big Score and the Springtime Card Pack) is the perfect size for a couple of donuts, danish, or other delicious breakfast pastries and can be left simple for a quick gift or embellished a bit like this.

To decorate the top, I stamped images from the “Magnolia Blossom” set and a sentiment from the “Wonderful Day” set onto watercolor cardstock in Versafine Onyx Black ink.  Then I did some simple coloring with my AquaBlend pencils and a waterbrush.  A couple of floral edge’ables cut from Sky Blue Shimmering Cardstock and some white satin ribbon finished off my pretty springtime gift box.

I like to take a little box of baked goods to my coworkers at the end of a long week or the beginning of one they’re about to have.  It’s a small effort on my part that I hope makes their day a little easier…and a quick handmade gift box like this makes it seem even more special.  Thanks for stopping in today and I hope you have a great weekend!
