Floral Hexagon Card

I love all of the patterned papers from the new Basic Grey “Fresh Cuts” collection 6×6 pad (probably going to be one of my favorite paper collections of all time!), so I wanted to find a way to use them all on one card.

After punching out tons of little hexagons using my Fiskars small hexagon punch, I arranged them in one corner – popping a couple up on SU dimensionals.  For a little play on “hard vs. soft”, I embossed the sentiment and flowers (SSS “Thinking of You” stamp set) in white on a vellum banner (“Banner Framelits” – SU) and colored the flowers on the back using Copics.

Then I just tied a little bow out of the Tim Holtz linen ribbon and frayed the edges a bit.  The whole panel was adhered to a card base made from Bazzill Blueberry Sour cardstock.
Thanks for stopping by and I’d love to hear your comments!
I am also entering this in the Happy for Hexagons Challenge in the Moxie Fab World found here.  There’s still time to join in on the fun!
