Flowerfull Heart Valentine

I just have a quick post today with a Valentine’s Day card I made using the “Flowerfull Heart” stamp from Stampin’ Up.

I stamped the image onto some watercolor paper using Versamark ink and heat embossed it in white.  Then I scribbled several different colors of SU markers over the top and blended them together using a waterbrush.  The sentiment is from the Fiskar’s “True Love” stamp set and was also heat embossed in white on a banner shape cut from black cardstock using the new Banner Framelits from SU.
I colored a second identical image using gelatos instead but just really didn’t like the effect.  I’m not sure I “get” gelatos yet…it’s either going to take me a lot more practice before I dare post anything I make with them or I’m going to give up and sell them on ebay.
Thanks for stopping by!

  1. I really love the card you made. I love the background around the heart. I don’t understand gelatos either. I’m just now working my new inktense pencils. I made a wonderful petal on a flower, but I cant figure out how I did it. must have been an accident lol oh well. like your blog

  2. That’s a beautiful heart! Love it!
