Gift Card Box for a Crafty Friend

Today I just wanted to share a little gift card box that I made recently with my CAMEO to house a few small crafty items along with a gift card to supplement the supplies.  This box design is the 3D Doily Hinged Box by Jamie Cripps found here in the Silhouette Online Store and goes together super fast with just a bit of folding and glue.

I used cardstock from the “Tea for 2” collection by Cosmo Cricket to assemble the box.  Side note – Scotch Quick Dry Adhesive is my go-to glue for 3D paper projects, so def try this stuff if you haven’t yet (it’s normally in stock at Michaels and Joanns).  It really does dry quickly, so boxes and 3D projects are a breeze, and holds like champ for a looooong time.  After tying up the box with some gold metallic twine from Two Berry Creative, I popped a tag on top that was cut from a tag deck (same collection) and stamped with a sentiment from the “Written in the Stars” set (Hero Arts) in Soft Suede ink (SU).
The recipient was a young girl who loves raccoons and is just starting out with stamping….so I tried to give her a few “essentials”along with these adorable stamps from Northwoods Rubber Stamps.  Since I had enlarged the box a bit to fit the crafty items, I did have to adhere my gift card to a larger panel to fit between the tabs in the insert, but I love the way it turned out anyway.
Thanks for stopping by!
