Happy First Day of Autumn!

Nuts For You Card by Annie Williams - Main

I am so thrilled that it is finally Autumn…even though it won’t feel like it in my neck of the woods until at least the end of October!  In honor of this, today I’m sharing a cute fall-inspired card made with new stamps from Pink&Main (“Nut House“) and a pretty leafy card base cut with my Silhouette CAMEO.

I started by cutting out the leafy overlay from some kraft-colored woodgrain cardstock with my CAMEO using the standard settings for “textured cardstock” in the Studio software.  Then I layered this over a cardbase made from Cherry Cobbler cardstock (Stampin’ Up).  One of the sentiments from the set was stamped onto a matching die-cut flag (Lil’ Inker Designs) with Versamark ink and heat-embossed in gold.  My squirrel and acorns were all colored with Copic markers and die-cut using the matching “Nut House Dies“…I loved not having to fussy-cut these!

To bring in one more gold element and finish off my card, I hid a few metallic gold sequins in my leafy cut-out panel.  This detail shot shows just how perfectly the CAMEO can cut the thick woodgrain cardstock too.

I hope you enjoyed this card project and will come back around on Friday, when I’ll be sharing a fun Halloween treat box I made with my CAMEO (for real this time…apologies, I’m getting a bit behind on my posts due to the arrival of my new baby boy!).
