Just For Men Collection Release

Happy Birthday Graffiti Card by Annie Williams - Main

I wouldn’t consider my style overly feminine, but I can still sometimes have trouble crafting for the men in my life.  The newest collection from Crafter’s Companion called “Just For Men” being released today just might be the answer to a few of my crafty prayers.  My favorite part is that there are tons of different elements to work with for my two toughest customers – teens and middle-aged men.

The first card I created is a simple one that I think would appeal to teenagers…and since I made it super bright (I couldn’t help myself), I guess it would work for both boys and girls!  I used the black embossed resist technique with the “Urban Graffiti” stamp set.  In short, I first stamped the paint splatters in colorful dye ink and then in Versamark ink that was slightly offset.  After adding clear embossing powder and melting it with my heat tool, I rubbed a Black Soot Distress Ink pad all over the surface and wiped away excess ink with a towel to reveal the stark contrast in colors.

Once the background had dried, I die-cut the “Happy Birthday” sentiment from both white and bright melon cardstock and layered them slightly offset as well.  A couple of bright mats mounted onto a white cardbase finished this simple card off perfectly.

The second card I created is perfect for Father’s Day (or even a birthday) and contains a fun pop-up surprise inside:

Are you ready for Father’s Day?  I have a few more project ideas to come the rest of this week so I hope to see y’all back here soon!

Very cute workbench pop up. Nice pictorial that you did over on the Crafter’s Companion site, too.
