Today I wanted to share a simple Valentine’s Day card that I created with a big, bold sentiment from the “True Love” set by Pink & Main along with a faux enamel accent made with my Silhouette CAMEO.
I started by stamping the sentiment in Versamark ink onto black cardstock, covering it with white heat-embossing powder, and melting it with my heat tool.
Then, I cut four of these pretty rose designs (design # 81815) out of the same black cardstock using my CAMEO as well as one from a piece of white cardstock. Through careful masking, I colored the white cardstock outline with my Copic airbrush and adhered this layer and the other four black layers together with liquid glue to form a super thick die-cut embellishment.
Once layered together, I applied several layers of clear embossing powder to the die-cut (melting each layer as it was applied) until I had a glossy and smooth embellishment that looked as if it were enamel. With such a bold die-cut and sentiment, I felt the card only needed a bright and colorful mat layer (Strawberry Slush by Stampin Up) to finish it off.

Could you use a Zyron machine to glue this rose design onto your card?
I think that would probably work great Nancy. I’ve used my Xyron to glue together smaller embellishments in the past…this time the liquid glue was just closer!
WOW, Annie, this is gorgeous! I was wondering if you can cut fun foam for the thicker. Have you ever tried cutting fun foam with Silhouette Cameo?
