Pretty as a Flower Card

Pretty As A Flower Card by Annie Williams - Main

I’m so ready for springtime.  We had a relatively mild winter this year until February came along…and then it was ice storm after ice storm!  Thankfully, this week we finally broke into the 70s and it was like everyone in the metropolitan area suddenly relaxed a bit (including myself).  Anyway, when I saw the new release from Pink & Main this month, I knew I had to color up one of the “Garden Cuties” to celebrate!

Using Prismacolor pencils and just a bit of baby oil, I colored the “Sunflower” image in bright summer-y colors.  The sentiment was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Luxe ink on some heavy vellum and heat embossed in clear.  I had to piece the phrase together by taking the “pretty as a” stamp from the Pretty Princess set and combining it with part of the “sunflower” word found in the Sunflower set.

My window panel was die-cut using the Stitched Mats: Ovals die from Lil’ Inker Designs, followed by embossing with the Basketweave embossing folder by Darice.  I finished my card off with a bit of matching twine and flower sequins from Pretty Pink Posh and popped the whole panel up over a kraft cardbase (100# Neenah Desert Storm).

Thanks for stopping by and I would love to hear your comments!
