Stenciled Heart Card

For the first day of OnlineCardClasses.com’s “Stenciled” class, I was inspired by Debby’s sponging technique to make this valentine:

I’m only about 80% satisfied with this…but it’s late, and I have more cards and a design team project to make tomorrow, so this is my final answer.  I sponged the background with Memento Luxe inks over a stencil I made using the new Silhouette stencil material (still love this stuff!).  The sentiment and flower (SSS “Thinking of You” set from the February card kit) were stamped in Versamark ink on heavy vellum and heat embossed in white.
I added some enamel dots, tiny sequins, and fuchsia jute from American Crafts to finish off the card.  If you’d like to cut this stencil yourself using your Silhouette, please feel free to download the Studio file I designed by clicking on the thumbnail below:
I’ll be offering free Studio cut files from time to time on my blog but won’t be labeling the posts as such, so I hope you’ll subscribe by using the little box in the top right corner as this will be the easiest way to find them.  Thanks for stopping by and I’d love to hear your comments!
