Sweet Valentine Shaker Card

Sweet Shaker Card by Annie Williams - Main

Today’s post is a little reminder about the Pink & Main challenge for January…the theme is “sparkle” and you have until the 31st to submit a project to win one of three great prizes.  I used one of the new sentiment sets released yesterday along with glitter cardstock from CutCardStock to create this sparkly shaker card for Valentine’s Day.

After die-cutting the heart (“Bramble Heart” by Simon Says Stamp) from a panel of Neenah Solar White and red glitter cardstock, I stamped the sentiment in pigment ink using the “Hello Sweet” set, covered it in clear embossing powder, and melted it with my heat tool.  I formed the window for my shaker compartment by adhering a piece of acetate to the back of the white panel, and then attaching the inset red heart die-cut with liquid adhesive.

After surrounding the heart window with foam tape on the back, I filled it with gold sequins and pressed this onto a panel of gold glitter cardstock.  Then, I placed the entire piece onto a black cardbase.

Are you making anything special for Valentine’s Day this year?  Stay tuned for more V-Day gifts, decor, and cards coming soon!
