Welcome to a new week friends! I am excited to be back today to share a couple of simple and cute projects made with new House Mouse Rare Bloom Collection from Spellbinders (check out all of the May collections HERE…so much good stuff!). This collection is full of sweet springtime images perfect for cards of all occasions. I used most of the sets in the collection to create three simple cards to send a sweet hello to some friends.
CELEBRATE EVERY DAY CARD
This first image, from the Sweet Nectar Stamp Set, is probably my favorite from the collection thanks to that beautiful bloom and gorgeous hummingbird. After stamping the image onto white cardstock using black alcohol-friendly ink, I colored everything with Copic markers and cut it out using one of the Perfect Touch Arches. To give just a hint of atmosphere, I lightly blended Tumbled Glass and Lost Shadow Distress Inks around the edges of the die-cut.
To assemble the card, I embossed a piece of Teal Topaz Cardstock with the new Floral Fans 3D Embossing Folder before matting it with Raven Cardstock and adhering it to a top-folding A2-sized white card base. After adding the colored image to the front of the card with foam adhesive, I stamped a sentiment from the stamp set onto white cardstock, trimmed it out into a strip, and popped it up in the corner with more foam adhesive.
JUST FOR YOU CARD
And how sweet is this image from the Rare Bloom Stamp Set?! I started by stamping the image onto white cardstock using black alcohol-friendly ink, colored everything with Copic markers, and cut it out using one of the Perfect Touch Rectangles. Once again, I lightly blended Tumbled Glass and Lost Shadow Distress Inks around the edges of the die-cut to give a hint of atmosphere.
The background was created by applying Gold Metallic Ink onto the Memo Splatter BetterPress Plate and pressing it onto Wild Berry Cardstock. Once adhered to a top-folding A2-sized white card base with tape runner, I added the colored image on top with foam adhesive. To finish off the card, I stamped a sentiment from the stamp set onto white cardstock, trimmed it out into a strip, and popped it up in the corner with more foam adhesive.
FLOATING BY BALLOONS CARD
Lastly, the Up, Up, And Away Stamp Set has the perfect images for birthday or everyday cards! I stamped the mouse and balloon images onto white cardstock using black alcohol-friendly ink, colored everything with Copic markers, and fussy-cut them all out using scissors. (I do wish some of the House Mouse images had coordinating dies sometimes!)
To create the background, I blended Salty Ocean Distress Ink up from the bottom of a panel of Malibu Cardstock before embossing it with the Head In The Clouds Embossing Folder. To bring out the cloud design a bit more, I lightly rubbed a white pigment ink pad over the raised areas. Once dry, I adhered the panel to a top-folding A2-sized white card base and popped the images and sentiment up on top with more foam adhesive.
TAKE NOTE COLLECTION

The peach card focuses on the Cherry Blossoms BetterPress Plate & Die Set, while the teal card showcases the Fan & Bow Die Set along with a sentiment from the Blossoms & Sentiments BetterPress Plate & Die Set. CLASSIC ROAD LEGENDS COLLECTION
Lastly, here are three cards made with the Classic Road Legends Collection by Mindy Eggen. The first features a fun Speedometer Die Set with the versatile Cruisin’ By Sentiments Stamp & Die Set, while the other two showcase those fun layered vehicles from the Timeless Truck Die Set and the Muscle Car Die Set.
