Spellbinders All Aboard Christmas Kit Blog Hop

Hi all!  Today I’m so excited to be participating in a blog hop offering inspiration for the gorgeous All Aboard Christmas Kit from Spellbinders.  This MASSIVE card and tag kit has over 580 pieces, including a beautiful sentiment stamp set and an adorable train die set!  If you’re a new visitor to my blog, I’m Annie and I love all things paper – handmade cards, gifts, and home décor.  You should have arrived here from Carrie’s blog, but if this is your first stop, you can click here to start back at the beginning.  Don’t forget to leave a comment on the blog for a chance to win a $25 store credit for Spellbinders products!

Of course the kit is meant for making lots and lots of Christmas cards and tags, but I thought some of the candy-themed products would also work great for a cute Halloween card!  I first set the scene with a few different patterned papers from the kit, pieced together to look like the ground, some railroad tracks, and a candy-filled sky.  Then I blended Black Soot Distress Ink around the edges with a blending brush for a touch of spooky.

I cut the trees and train out of the black and gold cardstock in the kit, as well as some Persimmon Cardstock from my stash and assembled them all with liquid glue.  Then I threw some candy die-cuts and puffy stickers in the train car and added a gold glitter sentiment and stars to the bottom.

There are so many other occasions you can use this adorable die set for…how about baby cards or kids birthday cards too? I hope you enjoyed this cute Halloween card made with the All Aboard Christmas Kit from Spellbinders and thanks for stopping by today.  Keep on hopping for tons of inspiration and a chance to win store credit for Spellbinders products!  Your next stop is Jill’s blog, but here’s the entire list in case you’ve missed a stop or need to start back at the beginning:
