Spellbinders February 2021 Clubs Blog Hop

Hi all!  Today I’m so excited to be participating in a blog hop celebrating the gorgeous February 2021 Club Kits from Spellbinders.  If you’re a new visitor to my blog, I’m Annie and I love all things paper – handmade cards, gifts, and home décor.  You should have arrived here from Sheri’s blog, but if this is your first stop, you can click here to start back at the beginning.  Don’t forget to leave a comment on the blog for a chance to win a $50 store credit for Spellbinders products!

My first card features the February 2021 Glimmer Hot Foil Kit of the Month, “Scalloped Rectangle Glimmer Essentials with Sentiments“.  This set of nine hot foil plates is truly versatile with six sizes of scalloped borders and three sentiments in a gorgeous font.  I’m on a mission to grow my birthday card stash, so I used this month’s kit to make a pretty spring card.

I started by foiling several panels of white cardstock using the two largest and two smallest scallop rectangles from the kit and alternating Lavender Petal (a BRAND NEW foil color that is gorgeous!) and Matte Silver Hot Foils.  I added the the beautiful birthday sentiment to the smallest panel using Lavender Petal Hot Foil.

After adhering all of the layers to a top-folding A2-sized white card base, I decided to embellish the card with little daisies cut from blue and minty cardstock using the Cinch & Go Flowers Five Die Set.  Each petal was shaped with a ball stylus and layers were adhered together with liquid glue before arranging them around the sentiment panel.  Rhinestones were added to the flower centers to finish the card off.

Next I decided to combine the Large Die, Small Die, and Clear Stamp of the Month Kits to make a soft and subtle baby card.  The tiled background along with the pierced details reminded me of a baby blanket, so I thought it would work great for this type of card as long as I kept the colors soft.

I adhered two trefoil panels cut with the Small Die of the Month Kit directly to a top-folding A2-sized white card base with liquid glue.  Then I stamped all of the floral tiles from the Clear Stamp of the Month Kit in pastel ink colors on white cardstock, cut them out with the dies from the Small Die of the Month Kit, and adhered them in the windows with liquid glue.

For the greeting, I stamped part of a sentiment from the All Occasions Sentiments Stamp & Die Set in light grey ink and cut it out with the scalloped strip die from the More Sentiments Glimmer Hot Foil Plates Set.  Then I added a big baby yellow “one” cut with the Large Die of the Month Kit to finish the thought.

I hope you enjoyed these quick and easy cards made with the February 2021 Spellbinders Club Kits.  Keep on hopping for tons of inspiration using the kits and a chance to win store credit for Spellbinders products!  Your next stop is Yasmin’s blog, but here’s the entire list in case you’ve missed a stop or need to start back at the beginning:

Very pretty cards. Since I usually make 5×7 cards I try not to buy A2 frames, but your elegant Foiled birthday card is tempting me to gt this kit. Also I would not have thought of the Trefoil as a baby card, but it looks gorgeous!
