As the beautiful golden colors of autumn start to fade this month, I wanted to make one more card in their honor. There are so many gorgeous layered florals in the Rubbernecker store, but I thought the Peaceful Elegance stamp set would look great in golds and oranges. Mixing pretty floral images with artsy blends and splatters, this bright card is perfect for sending an autumn hello.
- Stamp the five different layers of the floral sprig from the Peaceful Elegance Stamp Set onto white cardstock using Fern, Lemon, Autumn, Juniper, and Caramel Inks, respectively.
- To create the light orange sprig, substitute Autumn and Apricot Inks for layers 2 and 3 and to create the dark orange sprig, substitute Apricot and Nectar Inks for layers 2 and 3.
- Cut all of the sprigs out using the coordinating die.
- Trim a piece of kraft cardstock to 4″ x 5.25″.
- Apply Caramel Ink to the Flowering Vine Background Stamp and press it onto the kraft panel.
- Trim a piece of Mirror Gold Cardstock to 4.125″ x 5.375″ and adhere the kraft panel to the front.
- Die cut a piece of white cardstock using the third-largest die from the Nested Deckle Rectangles Die Set.
- Blend Autumn, Apricot, and Caramel Inks over the panel using a blending brush.
- Smoosh Caramel and Cinnamon Inks onto a non-porous surface, add a little water, and flick onto the panel with a paint brush.
- Die cut white and Mirror Gold Cardstock using the Hello Script w/Shadow Die Set.
- Adhere the gold layer onto the white shadow with liquid glue.
- Adhere the stamped background onto a top-folding A2-sized white card base using tape runner.
- Pop the ink-blended panel up in the center of the card front with foam adhesive.
- Add the floral sprigs and sentiments on top with more foam adhesive.
