Happy Monday friends! I’m excited to be back today to share a couple of projects using the new Beautiful Sentiment Vignettes Collection by Becca Feeken. This collection is full of gorgeous large dies that are perfect for filling nearly an entire 5″ x 7″ card front and have the ability to mix and match with Becca’s previous vignette collections. The ornate scroll designs and beautiful sentiments inspired me to create two pretty and feminine cards for celebrating birthdays and friendship.
BIRTHDAY WISHES CARD
I never have enough birthday cards on hand, and the Birthday Wishes Vignette Die Set makes it so easy to create a beautiful card with just a few runs through your diecutting machine. This card is an unusual size at 5.5″ x 6.75″, but I liked letting more of my patterned paper show around the borders so I went with it!
- Die cut both Royal Amethyst and Mirror Silver Cardstock with the largest two dies from the Birthday Wishes Vignette Die Set and white cardstock with just the Outer Rim die.
- Die cut Purple Mist and Mirror Silver Cardstock with the Inner Rim and Birthday Wishes Insert Dies from the Birthday Wishes Vignette Die Set.
- Adhere the colored cardstock layers on top of the silver cardstock layers with liquid glue, allowing the silver cardstock to peek out as a shadow.
- Die cut white cardstock with the flower dies and Rainforest Cardstock with the leaf dies from the Cinch & Go Flowers Five Die Set.
- Add Kitsch Flamingo Distress Ink to the centers of the flower layers and Mowed Lawn Distress Ink to the bottom edges of the leaf die-cuts.
- Shape the flower petals with a ball stylus and adhere the layers together with liquid glue.
- Mat a piece of patterned paper measuring 5″ x 6.25″ with Lagoon Cardstock and then adhere it to a top-folding white card base with tape runner.
- Adhere the sentiment panel to scroll background panel with liquid glue and add the entire die cut panel to the card front with foam adhesive.
- Arrange the flowers and leaves beneath the sentiment and tack down with liquid glue.
- Add silver pearls to the flower centers and background panel.
BEAUTIFUL FRIEND CARD
All of the vignette die sets in the collection come with a sentiment die except for the Romantic Chargeour Die Set…this beautiful design allows you to add any sentiment from your collection! Here I used one of Becca’s gorgeous foiled sentiments that was previously released to create a soft and pretty friendship card.
- Die cut Gold Mirror Cardstock using the Outer Rim and the Inner Diamond dies from the Romantic Chargeour Die Set.
- Die cut white cardstock using the Inner Rim and Inner Decorative Insert dies from the Romantic Chargeour Die Set.
- Apply Gold Hot Foil to white cardstock using the Heart Melt Sentiments Foil Plate Set and the Glimmer Hot Foil Machine. Cut it out using the coordinating die.
- Trim a piece of Pink Sand Cardstock to 4.75″ x 6.75″.
- Emboss the panel using the Starburst Stencil and an embossing mat in your diecutting machine.
- Die cut Dahlia Cardstock with the flowers dies and Rainforest Cardstock with the leaf dies from the Mini Sprigs & Leaves Die Set.
- Add the embossed panel to a top-folding 5″ x 7″ white card base with foam adhesive, then add each die cut layer up to the sentiment with more foam adhesive.
- Arrange the flowers and leaves around the sentiment in the center and tack down with liquid glue.
- Add Gold Mix Gems to the flower centers.
