Welcome to the weekend friends! Summer is starting to wind down and I’m already looking forward to the vibrant colors of fall. So today I’m sharing two bright and cheery autumn cards featuring gorgeous stamps and dies from Rubbernecker.
WELCOME AUTUMN CARD
Nothing says autumn to me like piles of apples and pumpkins…I practically live my whole year for the sight of them! With hand-colored die-cuts and a bold background, this bright and colorful card recreates my favorite scene like a postcard.
- Die cut white cardstock using the Baskets Die, Apples Pears and Corn Die, and Pumpkins and Ivy Die.
- Color the die-cuts using Tombow ABT Pro Markers, adding tons of shading for a bold look.
- Trim a piece of white cardstock to 4″ x 5.25″ and blend Custard, Apricot, and Pumpkin inks over the panel with a blending brush.
- Die cut the panel using the Diamond Pierced Cover Die to add some fun texture and pattern.
- Die cut kraft cardstock using the Rectangle Combo OPC #4 Die. We’ll use the second-largest frame for this project, set the others aside for your next project.
- Stamp a sentiment from the Splatter Leaves Stamp Set onto white cardstock using Versafine Clair Pinecone Ink and trim it out.
- Adhere the ink-blended background panel to a top-folding A2-sized white card base with tape runner, then pop the frame on top with foam adhesive strips.
- Add the basket, pumpkins, and apples to the front of the card with foam adhesive and liquid glue.
- Pop the sentiment up in the top-right corner with more foam adhesive.
I love how much detail you can give to die-cuts when you color them with markers…and that vibrant background just makes me so happy!
AUTUMN FLORAL BOUQUET CARD
Sometimes I need to remind myself that the leaves aren’t the only things that are colorful in fall. Here I added a simple autumn bouquet in bright oranges to a fun stenciled and embossed background for a pretty autumn card for a friend.
- Stamp the flowers from the Field of Daisies Stamp Set onto white cardstock using Mango, Citrus, Apricot, and Pecan Inks.
- Cut them out using the coordinating dies.
- Die cut aqua cardstock using the Large Garden Pots Die.
- Choose one of the pots and lightly blend Whisper Ink on the edges with a blending brush to give it a little dimension.
- Die cut white cardstock using the largest die from the Nested Loops Die Set.
- Mask off the decorative edges with low-tack tape and blend Mocha Ink onto the die-cut panel using the Sand Stencil.
- Stamp a sentiment from the Splatted Leaves Stamp Set onto the top-right corner of the panel using Versafine Clair Pinecone Ink.
- Trim a piece of teal cardstock to 4.25″ x 5.5″ and emboss it using the Sand Stencil and an embossing mat with the correct sandwich for your diecutting machine.
- Adhere the embossed background to a top-folding A2-sized white card base with tape runner.
- Pop the die-cut background panel up on top with foam adhesive.
- Add the vase and flowers to the card front with liquid glue and foam adhesive.
- Embellish with Gold Mix Gems.
