It’s almost the weekend and that’s something to celebrate friends! Today I’m excited to share several projects using the new Celebrate You Collection from Spellbinders. The gorgeous sentiments, unique 3D dies, and pretty tag designs in this collection inspired me to create a ton of cards and bags for all different occasions.
SOFT & PRETTY BABY CARD
I thought the Venetian Wallpaper Stencil was so beautiful and would make the perfect background for this soft and pretty baby card.
- Trim white cardstock to 4” x 5.25” and apply Tumbled Glass, Spun Sugar, and silver pigment ink through the Venetian Wallpaper Stencil with a blending tool to create the background.
- Apply Matte Silver Hot Foil to white cardstock using the Celebrate You Glimmer Sentiments Plate Set and cut it out using one of the label inserts from the Sentiment Labels Die Set.
- Die cut white cardstock using the Fluted Classics Circles Die Set and Mirror Silver Cardstock using one of the sentiments from the Smooth Line Mix & Match Sentiments Die Set.
- Die cut Pink Sand, Rainforest, and Mirror Silver Cardstock using the Be Bold Blooms Die Set.
- Add the background panel to a top-folding A2-sized white card base with foam adhesive and pop the circle and sentiment up on top with more foam adhesive.
- Adhere the main sentiment and flowers to the circle with liquid glue.
FLORAL BIRTHDAY CARD & GIFT BAG
Next I wanted to try a couple of ways to customize the Gift Bag for different occasions. Here I made a matching floral card and bag perfect for a springtime birthday.
- Trim a piece of white cardstock to 4” x 5.25” and emboss it using the Simply Perfect Florets Embossing Folder.
- Die cut Pink Sand, Dahlia, Persimmon, Rainforest, Teal Topaz, Lagoon, and Mirror Gold Cardstock using the Be Bold Blooms Die Set and assemble the flowers and sprigs with liquid glue.
- Apply Gold Hot Foil to white cardstock using the Celebrate You Glimmer Sentiments Plate Set and cut it out using one of the insert dies from the Sentiment Labels Die Set.
- Die cut Mirror Gold Cardstock with the small label die from the Sentiment Labels Die Set and adhere the foiled sentiment on top using liquid glue.
- Add the embossed background to a top-folding A2-sized white card base with foam adhesive.
- Arrange the flowers in the center of the card and adhere down with foam adhesive and liquid glue for lots of dimension.
- Add the sentiment label to the bottom of the card with foam adhesive.
- Die cut Dahlia and Mirror Gold Cardstock using the Gift Bag Die Set.
- Emboss only the front panel of the gift bag using the Slimline Flora Embossing Folder (it fits perfectly to only emboss the one side!) and assemble the bag with liquid glue.
- Stamp a sentiment from the Sentiments For You Stamp Set onto white cardstock using Versamark Ink, add gold embossing powder, and melt with a heat tool.
- Die cut Mirror Gold Cardstock using the large label from the Sentiment Labels Die Set, adhere the sentiment panel on top with liquid glue, and trim one of the openings off the label with scissors.
- Tie the tag to the bag with some gold metallic twine and add a matching pink bloom to the top with foam adhesive.
GRADUATION CARD & GIFT BAG
The Hats Off To You Die Set is such a fun design that I wanted to make another matching card and bag in bright school colors for the upcoming graduation season.
- Trim a piece of Saffron Cardstock to 4.25” x 5.5” and apply white pigment ink through the Sunburst Stencil with a blending tool. Allow to dry completely and mount onto a top-folding A2-sized white card base with tape runner.
- Die cut Cosmic Sky, Saffron, and white cardstock using the Hats Off To You Die Set and assemble with liquid glue.
- Die cut white cardstock using the Fluted Classics Circles Die Set and the Swallowtail Tags Die Set and assemble to look like a prize ribbon.
- Stamp a sentiment from the Let’s Celebrate Sentiments Stamp Set in blue ink onto the ribbon and adhere it in the center of the card front.
- Add the hat to side of the circle with liquid glue.
- Die cut Cosmic Sky Cardstock using the Gift Bag Die Set and apply gold glitter gel through the All The Stars Stencil onto only the front panel of the bag.
- Once dry, assemble the bag with strong liquid glue.
- Die cut Saffron, Cosmic Sky, and white cardstock using the Hats Off To You Die Set, assemble, and add to the front of the assembled bag with liquid glue.
- Apply Gold Hot Foil to white cardstock using one of the sentiments from the Celebrate You Glimmer Sentiments Plate Set and cut it out using the small round tag from the Assorted Tags Die Set.
- Add the tag to the bag with a bow cut from Mirror Gold Cardstock using the Bouquet of Flowers Die Set.
ELEGANT STENCILED GIFT BAG
The Gift Bag Die Set is such a breeze to assemble that I couldn’t help but make one more…this time an elegant stenciled bag perfect for a very special birthday.
- Die cut Waterfall and Mirror Silver Cardstock using the Gift Bag Die Set.
- Apply silver embellishment mousse through just the largest layer of the Venetian Wallpaper Stencil onto the front panel of the bag.
- Once dry, assemble the bag with liquid glue.
- Apply Matte Silver Hot Foil to white cardstock using the Celebrate You Glimmer Sentiments Plate Set and cut them out using the Swallowtail Tags Die Set.
- Die cut Mirror Silver Cardstock using the twine die from the Swallowtail Tags Die Set as well.
- Cut, color, and assemble a single bloom and leaves using the Coreopsis Die Set.
- Attach the tags to the bag using the die-cut twine and adhere the bloom on top using foam adhesive.
GIFT TAG CARD
I thought the shapes in the Assorted Tags Die Set were so cute they could be a focal point all on their own. Here I used bright colors and a tone-on-tone look for an easy card that would work great to give a gift for all kinds of occasions.
- Trim white cardstock to 4” x 5.25” and emboss it using the Diamond Plaid Embossing Folder.
- Stamp the sentiment from the Let’s Celebrate Sentiments Stamp Set onto Teal Topaz, Dahlia, Peridot, Persimmon, Beeswax, and Lilac Blossom Cardstock using a closely coordinating ink color.
- Die cut each sentiment out using the small square tag die from the Assorted Tags Die Set.
- Stamp the sentiment from the Let’s Celebrate Sentiments Stamp Set onto Onyx Cardstock using Versamark Ink, add white embossing powder, and melt with a heat tool. Cut it out using the label insert die from the Sentiment Labels Die Set.
- Add the embossed background to a top-folding A2-sized white card base with foam adhesive.
- Arrange the tags and sentiment strip on the front of the card and adhere down with more foam adhesive.
EASY CUPCAKE TOPPERS
There are sentiments for nearly every occasion in this collection, so they work perfectly for cupcake toppers as well!
- Die cut Pink Sand, Waterfall, and Purple Mist Cardstock twice each with the smallest Fluted Classic Circles Dies and adhere around a toothpick or lollipop stick.
- Foil a design onto white cardstock and color it in:
- Deer Friend Plate Set foiled in Copper Hot Foil and colored with Copic markers.
- Glimmer Edge Butterflies Plate Set foiled in Gold Hot Foil and Dried Marigold and Spun Sugar Distress Inks blended over top.
- Glimmer Edge Flowers Plate Set foiled in Bright Pink Hot Foil and Picked Raspberry Distress Ink blended over top.
- Foil a matching sentiment from the Celebrate You Glimmer Sentiments Plate Set and cut out using the Swallowtail Tags Die Set.
FOILED PARTY FAVOR BAG
You can easily alter the Gift Bag once cut and assembled to create this little party favor for any kind of celebration.
- Die cut Lilac Blossom Cardstock using the Gift Bag Die Set.
- Apply Gold Hot Foil to the front panel using the Slimline Confetti Background Plate Set.
- Assemble the gift bag normally, but omit the handles. Fold over the top half-inch or so and punch two holes through the fold with a hole puncher.
- Add a sentiment to white cardstock in Gold Hot Foil using the Celebrate You Glimmer Sentiments Plate Set and cut it out using one of the dies from the Assorted Gift Tags Die Set.
- Tie the bag shut with baker’s twine, adding the tag before tying the bow in the front.
