Hello crafty friends! I am beyond excited to be back today to share several projects made with my brand new collection from Spellbinders, the Country Christmas Collection by Annie Williams. (You can check out the rest of the July release here…there’s a lot of other great stuff too!) I have always wanted to design a Christmas collection and it was an honor to be asked to collaborate again with such a wonderful company. I am so pleased with the final products (many of which can be used throughout the rest of the year) and I hope you love them too!
CHRISTMAS ROCKING CHAIR
The Christmas Rocking Chair Die Set has all of the dies you need to create a beautiful, layered rocking chair complete with pillow, blanket, and teddy bear. The Santa boots and Christmas tree in a galvanized bucket are perfect for adding a holiday vibe, but this set also makes a sweet baby card or everyday card.
Here I’ve used the Country Christmas 3D Embossing Folder to create a subtle textured background mimicking wallpaper, but don’t forget to try adding some siding and outdoor decor for a porch scene as well!
COUNTRY CHRISTMAS BARN
The Country Christmas Barn Die Set is an easy-to-assemble set that creates a cute, oversized barn filling the front of an A2-sized card. You can decorate it for the holidays using the included wreath, light strands, and pine trees or leave it plain to create projects during the rest of the year.
If you want a little more space for scenic elements, use it to create a 5″ x 7″ card like this one instead! The barn doors can be left closed or open…slip a sentiment or Christmas tree into the open barn doors for some extra fun!
CHRISTMAS HORSE-DRAWN WAGON
The Christmas Horse-Drawn Wagon Die Set was inspired by the wagon rides and Christmas parade “floats” from the small towns around me. If you build the horse and hitch up his wagon, you’ll most likely need an A7-sized card base, unless you overlap the two pieces quite a bit.
There are tons of things you can add to the wagon based on the occasion. Here I’ve added the stack of packages included in the set, but flowers would make for a very pretty springtime card too! Greenery and bows make it extra festive.
The oversized horse could make a perfect focal point on its own as well…add his neck wreath for holiday flair!
Using the wagon alone from the Christmas Horse-Drawn Wagon Die Set, I created a simpler holiday focal image that fits easily on a A2-sized card. For a different look, I added trees from the Country Christmas Barn Die Set and a small package to the front seat.
All of the sentiments I’m using on these cards come from the Country Christmas Banner & Sentiments Press Plate & Die Set. This set includes ten sweet greetings in a gorgeous script font and can be foiled or letterpressed. Then cut them out with one of three different shapes of banners or signs and add grommets and ties (using the included dies) to hang the banner if desired.
BARN STAR WREATH
I couldn’t create another country-style collection without including a barn star! The Barn Star Wreath Die Set creates the perfect eye-catching backdrop for a beautiful holiday wreath. With interchangeable inserts, you can create two completely different styles of barn stars, or leave the inserts out completely to create an oversized solid star. (Fold the star up on its score lines for a three-dimensional look or layer a contrasting color behind it for even more interest like I’ve done here.)
Included in the set are several accent pieces to create a holiday wreath – berry sprigs, orange slices, pine cone, holly leaves, pine sprigs, and a beautiful layered bow. And of course you can add your own floral elements instead for cute barn star wreaths throughout the other three seasons!
COUNTRY SNOWMAN
The Country Snowman Die Set reflects my love of pudgy and sweet snowman. He’s rustic and cute and his cowboy hat and scarf make him decidedly country. He’s also joined by some adorable friends – a curious bunny and sweet bird!
Other items included in the set are a bird feeder, welcome sign, and broom for more fun details.
COUNTRY CHRISTMAS 3D EMBOSSING FOLDER
Lastly, the Country Christmas 3D Embossing Folder reminds me of a beautiful quilt pattern and can provide your projects with an intricate background or just an accent panel. Among the weaving holly leaves are classic Christmas icons like wreaths, ornaments, stars, and trees.
The folder is 5.5” x 8.5”, so it’s possible to emboss the background of all of the popular sizes of cards. Ink it before or after and use both the embossed and debossed sides of your cardstock for tons of possibilities. Here I’ve added a Christmas tree from the Christmas Rocking Chair Die Set and a sentiment from the Country Christmas Banner & Sentiments Press Plate & Die Set for an easy card with tons of personality.

These are delightful cards. I don’t need Christmas sets & was totally ignoring this release. Your rocking chair card, however, made me realize that these dies can make nice baby cards, so thanks for giving me so e new ideas!
