A month ago, after all of the holiday hoopla was over, I found myself staring at a big pile of brand new Christmas stamps, dies, and paper that I had never even opened. It happens every year (I’m always overly ambitious when it comes to the holidays), but this time I’ve decided to try to use them when I can throughout the year…because there will be tons of new Christmas supplies coming out again before we know it! I love getting more use out of my Christmas stamp sets and dies by creating winter-themed birthday, hello, and love cards. And these adorable Christmas Inchies were too cute to put away until next year!
- Trim a piece of kraft cardstock to 4.25″ x 5.5″. Stamp pine cone and branch images from the Winter Wonderland stamp set all the way around the edges with Caramel ink.
- Die cut the panel with the largest die from the Nested Deckle Rectangles die set.
- Die cut pieces of white and white shimmer cardstock with the largest die from the Nested Oval Small Stitch die set.
- Die cut the white shimmer oval roughly in half with one of the dies from the Stitched Hills die set and set aside.
- Stamp a greeting from the Christmas Inchies stamp set onto the white oval panel in Versamark ink, cover it in white embossing powder, and melt with a heat tool. Lightly blend Rose, Arctic, and Sky Inks over the entire panel to create a pretty winter sky.
- Stamp the images from the Christmas Inchies stamp set onto white cardstock with alcohol-friendly black ink and color them with Copic markers.
- Cut them out using the coordinating dies.
- Adhere the kraft panel to a top-folding A2-sized white card base with foam adhesive.
- Pop the white shimmer hill die-cut up on top of the inked oval and adhere to the center of the card front with foam adhesive.
- Adhere the trees and characters to the card with a mix of foam adhesive and liquid adhesive for lots of depth.
