Divinity Designs February Release

Ready for a peek at the newest products from Divinity DesignsFebruary’s release is full of some really cute springtime stamps and dies as well as some great basics that will make your cardmaking a little bit easier.  The Bee-lieve stamp and die set not only includes some really gorgeous illustrations, but also a whole slew of different sentiments that make it an almost all-season stamp set.  I colored up all of the images from the set with my Copic markers for this bright spring card.

To create the background for my images, I started by cutting some heavyweight white cardstock with the A2 Landscape Card Base Die.  (If you struggle with cutting and scoring perfect A2 card bases, then these dies will make your life a ton easier!)  Then I cut both a piece of vellum and this pretty brick patterned paper from the Spring Flowers Collection 2019 using the layer die from the set and layered them together with a black mat cut with the new matting rectangle die.  This yielded a subtle spring background matted with a 1/16″ black border that I adhered to my card base before popping up all of the images with foam adhesive on top.

The second project I created features the new Quilted Honeycomb Die.  Using the die, I cut a pretty stitched patterned out of another sheet from the Spring Flowers Collection 2019, layered it over a panel I had inked in a blue ombre pattern and splattered with water, and popped just some of the hexagons back into the background with foam squares for a pretty and artsy look (you could do this method with images you colored too!).

This time I mounted the card front on a base cut with the Portrait Card Base Die, along with a black mat cut with the Matting Rectangle Die.  I added a few bees and a fun sentiment from the Bee-lieve set to finish this card off.

I hope you enjoyed this peek at some of the newest products from Divinity Designs this month and thanks so much for stopping by today.  For more inspiration using the January release, head over to the Divinity Designs blog to check out projects from the other designers!
