Divinity Designs October Release

Have you seen the fun new Christmas products from Divinity Designs this month?  The rustic feel of the stamps, dies, and paper is right up my alley, so I couldn’t wait to dive into October’s release.  This card features the super detailed Pickup Truck Dies (check out the woodgrain texture on that tiny die-cut!) that I cut out of some shimmer cardstock to resemble a metallic gloss finish.  Once pieced together, I adhered it on top of a snowy scene from the Christmas Collection 2018 paper pad cut with the Pierced Ovals Dies and inked around the edges with blue ink for a frosty feel.

The fun woodgrain pattern in the background is from the new Rustic Christmas paper pad, and I matted this with matching green shimmer cardstock before adhering it to a white A2-sized card base.  To finish the card off, I die cut a sentiment from the Holiday Words Dies out of some white and green shimmer cardstock, layered them together, and adhered them to the oval with liquid glue.

Another awesome die set in this release are the Treat Tower Dies…this huge set includes everything you need to build a 3D treat tower and decorate it with fun panels.  I cut the base, lid, and box shapes all out of the same brown shimmer cardstock, then decorated them with the pretty pinecone print from the Rustic Christmas paper pad.

You can fill each inner box up with a handful of chocolates, fold the box up, and add the lid to hold the whole thing together tightly.

To decorate the front of the box, I stamped a sentiment from the Deer Ornament Stamp/Die Duo Set onto a small white panel cut with the Pierced Oval Dies and inked around the edges with green ink.  Then I die cut the flower using the Peaceful Poinsettia Dies and the greenery using the Pine Branches Dies, enhanced the embossing with gold gilding wax, and shaped the pieces before gluing them in place.

My last project features the gorgeous Deer Ornament Stamp/Die Duo Set.  Here I embossed the image and the sentiment from the set onto some matte mirror cardstock with clear embossing powder, then cut each ball out with the Pierced Circle Dies.

Ornament toppers were cut out of silver glitter cardstock using dies in the Deer Ornament set and tied with silver baker’s twine before adhering them on top of patterned paper from the Rustic Christmas paper pad with foam adhesive.

I hope you enjoyed this glimpse at some of the new products in the October release from Divinity Designs and thanks so much for stopping by today.  What’s your favorite item in this release?  I’d love to hear in the comments below!
