Trick-or-treating is probably going to look a lot different in neighborhoods across the country this year. Most in my community are planning to leave individual bags of candy out on a table in their driveway for kids to pick up as they go along. In the spirit of overdoing everything, I’ve already purchased boxes and boxes of full-size candy bars for Halloween this year and will be packing store-bought treat bags with 3 or 4 bars each for trick-or-treaters! For the extra special kids like my nieces, nephews, and close family friends, though, I thought it would be fun to dress up the candy with cute wrappers made with new stamps and dies from Rubbernecker.
I started by diecutting orange, green, and purple cardstock with the largest die from the Nested Deckle Rectangle Die Set. This will create a wrapper that fits many full-size bars like Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups and Twix, but adjust your sizing as needed. Then I stamped the Wavy Line, Snakeskin, and Field of Stars Backgrounds onto each die cut panel using Apricot, Grass, and Orchid inks, respectively.

Die cut and those adorable owls and their costumes using the Build An Owl and Owl Halloween Add Ons dies. Assemble with liquid glue and set aside to dry.
Wrap each candy bar with the stamped panel and secure it in the back with adhesive. Add coordinating ribbon around the center of the wrapper and pop an owl on top using foam adhesive.
