Hello again friends! Today I’m excited to share the Gnome For Christmas Collection from Spellbinders. With adorable gnome designs, fun backgrounds, and big, beautiful sentiments, this collection has you covered for both cute and classy Christmas cardmaking! I created three fun holiday cards with many of the products from the collection, all perfect for sending a little Christmas cheer.
GNOME CHRISTMAS TREE CARD
How sweet is the Gnome Tree Die Set?! I love the look of grey and red winter gnomes, so I picked a couple of gingham papers out of this fun paper pad and matched it up with some Crimson, Silver Fox, Graphite, and Onyx Cardstock to cut out all of the different parts of the gnome tree. Once assembled, I added star and ornament string embellishments cut from Mirror Silver Cardstock, with Fashion Silver and Fashion Rouge Pearls serving as the ornaments.
The background was created by applying Prism Hot Foil to Waterfall Cardstock using the Twilight Sparkle Strip Glimmer Plate. I matted this panel with Mirror Silver Cardstock and added it to a top-folding A2-sized white card base with tape runner. After adhering the tree to the card front with foam adhesive, I stamped a greeting from the Holiday Gnomes Stamp Set and popped it up on top.
JOLLY HOLIDAY MINI SLIMLINE CARD
I thought the Big Holiday Words Stamp & Die Set was so clever, and something I could pull out year after year to make different styles of cards. With the letters to spell “JOY” and “NOEL” using a fun holiday icon, I realized that I could also spell “jolly” with this set! I stamped the letters onto white cardstock using bright colors of ink and added a peppermint colored with Copic markers as my “O”.
After matting the panel with Mirror Red Cardstock, I adhered it on top of a Rainforest panel that I had cut using the largest die from the Precision Layering Mini Slimline A Die Set and embossed with the gorgeous Argyle Socks Embossing Folder. To finish the card off, I added a sentiment foiled in Red Hot Foil using the Glitter Wishes Glimmer Plate Set as well as a few Green Mix Gems.
HOLLY JOLLY GNOME CARD
Lastly, I couldn’t resist the adorable, interactive Holly Jolly Gnome Die Set…he swings back and forth on his ornament! I cut this little guy out of Raindrop, Teal Topaz, Lagoon, Barely Peach, and white cardstock and assembled him with liquid glue before adding a few details with a white paint pen.
To give him a fantasic background to swing around on, I trimmed a piece of Cosmic Sky Cardstock to 4″x 5.25″ and applied Champagne Stardust Butter onto it through the Twinkle Stencil. Once dry, I added it to a top-folding A2-sized white card base with foam adhesive and popped my interactive gnome up on top with more foam adhesive.
