Have you seen all of the brand new products in the January release from Spellbinders? With gorgeous Glimmer plates, beautiful stamps, and must-have basics, there really is something for everyone! Today I wanted to share six easy cards made with the new Into The Wilderness Collection by Sushma Hegde. This first card uses the beautiful Birthday Bouquet Stamp Set, stamped in black alcohol-friendly ink and colored with my Copic markers.
I cut the colored image out with an oval frame die and mounted it on top of some Raindrop Cardstock that I embossed with the Scallops Embossing Folder. To finish the card off, I added a sentiment from the Mini Everyday Sentiments Glimmer Plate Set that I foiled in gold.
Next I stamped out this easy field of flowers onto some white cardstock using the Layered Wildflowers Stamp Set and Mowed Lawn, Worn Lipstick, and Dried Marigold Distress Oxide Inks.
The sentiment from the set was stamped in the top left corner and embossed in gold before matting the panel with Mirror Gold Cardstock and mounting it onto a top-folding A2-sized white card base with foam adhesive.
I stamped the Layered Anemones out with various Distress Oxide Inks as well and fussycut them out with scissors before arranging them into a small bouquet. A sentiment from the set was embossed in gold and trimmed out into a small strip.
To create the background, I embossed some Dahlia Cardstock with the new Loops Embossing Folder and matted it with Mirror Gold Cardstock before mounting it onto a 4″ square white card base with tape runner. I added a frame cut from white and Mirror Gold Cardstock using the Essential Classic Label Die Set to make the blooms pop.
The Being Around You Wreath Stamp Set was begging to be watercolored, so I stamped the images and sentiment onto some watercolor cardstock with Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink before coloring it in with Tombow Dual Brush Pens.
I wanted to keep this card really simple, so I just added matting with Mirror Gold and Persimmon Cardstock before mounting it to a top-folding A2-sized white card base with tape runner.
Finally, there are two beautiful silhouette stamps in the collection that are perfect for ink blending. I stamped the Forest Silhouette Stamp Set onto white cardstock using Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink and then blended Carved Pumpkin, Abandoned Coral, and Salty Ocean Distress Ink over top for a pretty sunset feel.
To finish the card off, I added a white frame cut using the new Precision Layering A2 Dies and a sentiment foiled in gold using the Yana’s Special Sentiments Glimmer Plate Set.
I wanted to portray a pretty countryside at sunrise in this next card, so I stamped the different elements from the Create A Scene Silhouette Stamp Set onto white cardstock with Versafine Clair Pinecone Ink and blended Distress Inks very lightly over top.
Then I simply added a white frame cut using the Candlewick Rectangles Die Set and matted with Rainforest Cardstock before mounting it onto a top-folding A2-sized white card base.
