Happy Tuesday friends! I know it’s hard to think about winter with Thanksgiving looming here in the states, but I wanted to share some easy and pretty cards made with stamps and dies from Rubbernecker. WINTER BOUQUET CARD
I love using my Christmas-themed stamps after the holidays are over to send friendly winter hellos or to wish someone a lovely winter birthday. The Winter Bouquet Stamp Set creates beautiful layered floral images that are perfect for Christmas cards, but I kept the background and sentiment neutral for a pretty winter wishes card.
- Stamp the pine cones, pine sprigs, and berry branches from the Winter Bouquet Stamp Set onto white cardstock using Color Fuse Ink Sets #4, 10, 9, and 3. I stuck with traditional colors for most of the images, but added Dreamer Ink to some of the pine sprigs for a little variation in color.
- Die cut the stamped images out using the coordinating dies.
- Die cut a piece of kraft cardstock using the largest die from the Nested Deckle Rectangle Die Set and then the Quilted Stitched Pierced Cover Die.
- Blend Cinnamon and Pecan Ink around the edges of the die-cut panel with a blending brush to add a little depth to the background.
- Stamp a sentiment onto white cardstock in Versafine Clair Pinecone Ink using the Build A Phrase Holiday Stamp Set.
- Trim the sentiment out into a small strip with a paper trimmer or scissors.
- Add the background panel to a top-folding A2-sized white card base with foam adhesive.
- Arrange the floral elements in the top left and bottom right corners of the card front and adhere down with a mix of liquid glue and foam adhesive for lots of dimension.
- Pop the sentiment up in the middle of the card with more foam adhesive.
- Send this pretty card to someone special after the holidays to brighten their day!
WINTER DEER CARD
Sometimes a pretty background and some simple die cuts are all you need to send a cheerful winter hello to a friend. Here I added some sweet deer die cuts to a frosty background for an easy way to send winter wishes to a friend.
- Trim a piece of white cardstock to 4.125″ x 5.375″.
- Stamp the frame from the Snowflake Frame & Phrase Stamp Set onto the panel using Versamark Ink, add white embossing powder, and melt with a heat tool.
- Blend Arctic, Sky, and Odyssey Ink over the embossed image, concentrating the darker colors around the top edges of the cardstock.
- Water down some of the Sky and Odyssey Ink on a non-porous surface, scoop some up with a paintbrush, and tap to add a few darker blue splatters.
- Die cut both white and silver glitter cardstock using the Deer Family Die Set and the flattest hill die from the Tabbed Mountains Die Set.
- Adhere the white die-cuts on top of the silver glitter die-cuts, allowing the silver to peek out like a shimmery halo.
- Stamp a sentiment onto white cardstock with Versafine Clair Blue Belle Ink using the Cute Snowmen Stamp Set.
- Fussycut the sentiment out with scissors.
- Adhere the background panel to a top-folding A2-sized white card base with foam adhesive.
- Add the snowy hill, deer, and sentiment to the card front with more foam adhesive.
I love how simple and sweet this card is…it’s perfect for making multiples!
NOVEMBER RELEASE
In addition to an awesome Black Friday Sale, Rubbernecker just released some brand new stamps, dies, and paper pads that I had to play with right away! I used some of the new die sets and paper pads to create these two fun and easy cards.
RETRO CAMERA DIE SET
The Retro Camera Die Set was so cute and I thought it would go great with some of the patterns from the new Off The Grid Paper Pad, so I cut it out of matching cardstock colors and assembled it with liquid glue. I added a sentiment from the Pine Tree Stamp Set to the panel behind it.
For the background, I simply adhered two patterns from the Off The Grid Paper Pad together and cut them with the largest die from the Nested Deckle Rectangle Die Set.
WISHING WELL DIE SET
The sweet Wishing Well Die Set was begging to be colored in fun colors, so I cut everything out of white cardstock and added soft color with Copic markers. That perfect sentiment is from the Kittie Says Phrases #1 Stamp Set.
To create the easy background I cut white cardstock using the new Striped Cover Die and popped it up over some solid paper from the Wintery Woodlands Paper Pad. Then I cut two ovals using the Nested Small Stitch Ovals Die Set to create a sky for the wishing well.
