Welcome to a new month friends! The August 2023 Club Kits from Spellbinders have been revealed and there are so many gorgeous summer florals this month! Today I’m sharing five card projects featuring the Large Die of the Month, Small Die of the Month, Glimmer Kit of the Month, Clear Stamp of the Month Kit, Embossing Folder of the Month, 3D Embossing Folder of the Month, Stitching Die of the Month, and Clear Stamp & Die of the Month Kits. (Check back soon for inspiration using the NEW BetterPress of the Month Kit and Wax Seal of the Month Kit for August.)

LARGE DIE OF THE MONTH
This month’s Large Die of the Month Kit, “Blooming Pomegranate“, is a massive set of 23 dies that can be used to create a yummy-looking layered pomegranate sprig with plenty of flowers to make it extra pretty. I used the dies in the set to make this summery sweet thank you card, but you can easily combine the leafy branches with just the flowers for a totally different look!
I cut the main elements from Pomegranate (naturally!), Crimson, Peach Sorbet, Barely Peach, Fern, and Rainforest Cardstock and assembled it all with liquid glue. The card front is just white cardstock that has been embossed with this month’s Embossing Folder of the Month, “Arches & Dots“. To finish off the card, I added a sentiment cut from Mirror Gold Cardstock and a splatter of Gold Mix Gems.
SMALL DIE OF THE MONTH
And how pretty is this month’s Small Die of the Month Kit, “Breezy Swing“?! The kit contains 13 cutting dies that allow you to cut a beautiful girl on a swing with tons of tiny florals to add as accents. I cut the girl’s dress from some pretty floral patterned paper to create this easy card perfect for sending a happy hello.
Once the girl on the swing had been assembled, I embossed a piece of Glacier cardstock with the latest 3D Embossing Folder of the Month, “3D Stylized Floral” and inked it around the edges with Salty Ocean Distress Ink. Then I adhered the girl and some bright floral bunches cut with the set to the front of the card and stamped a sentiment using this month’s Clear Stamp of the Month.
GLIMMER KIT OF THE MONTH
This month’s Glimmer Kit of the Month, “Overflowing Floral” contains 2 Glimmer plates that can be used to foil a huge, gorgeous floral stem as well as a sentiment. I applied Gold Hot Foil to white cardstock and added color with a coordinating stencil set for this easy and pretty card.
Once foiled, the Overflowing Floral stencil set contains four stencils that make it soooo easy to color the image in! I used a ton of bright Distress Inks (listed in the supplies section below) with the stencils to quickly yield this bold and beautiful image. After trimming it down to 4″ x 5.25″, I popped it up on top of an A2-sized white card base with foam adhesive and added a few Gold Mix Gems to embellish.
STITCHING DIE OF THE MONTH
This month’s Stitching Die of the Month is another beautiful one with a fun new kind of stitching that wraps around the perimeter of these cute floral shapes! This month’s kit, “Stitched Floral Card Front“, is a set of 16 dies that create a beautiful pierced background pattern with tons of tiny flowers and leaves to stitch or leave as-is. I cut the flowers and leaves all out of white cardstock and blended Distress Oxide Inks over each one before stitching them up with gold metallic thread for tons of color and shine on this simple and pretty hi card.
The background pattern was cut from some Dune Cardstock and adhered directly onto an A2-sized white card base with liquid glue. Once dry, I popped the stitched elements up on top with foam adhesive and added Gold Mix Gems to each. To finish the card off, I blended Kitsch Flamingo and Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide Inks over the “hi” die-cut and stacked three more underneath to give the sentiment some dimension.
CLEAR STAMP & DIE OF THE MONTH KIT
This month’s Clear Stamp of the Month Kit, “Happy Hello Floral” is a set of 6 stamps that contains another giant floral spray and several pretty sentiments to go with it. If your subscription includes the coordinating dies, you’ll also get 7 dies to cut the sentiments and image out (separate dies for each side of the image so that you can add it to the top or bottom of a card if you want to also). I stamped the image onto white cardstock with black alcohol-friendly ink and colored it with Copic markers for this pretty hello card.
Once colored, I trimmed off the left edge a bit and die cut the right edge with the coordinating dies to create a panel for the left side. To make it pop a bit, I trimmed and die cut a piece of Partly Cloudy Cardstock and adhered it behind the colored image like a shadow. Then I popped this panel up on top of a white card base embossed with the Arches & Dots Embossing Folder. To finish off the card, I added a sentiment from the set in the lower corner and a few Crystal Mix Gems.
