I am so excited to share with you today the new Fall & Halloween 2020 Collection from Spellbinders. Full of gorgeous Glimmer plate designs and super cute dies, this collection will become an instant favorite for any autumn lovers like myself. I used two of the new Glimmer plate sets to create this fun card and a set of mini pillow boxes perfect for giving little Halloween treats.
Start by foiling the web design from the Spiderweb Background Glimmer Plate set and the skeleton and ghost from the Spooky Greetings Glimmer Plate set onto white cardstock (measuring 4.25″ x 4.25″) using Prism Hot Foil and the Glimmer Hot Foil Machine. Then foil the greeting from the Spooky Greetings Glimmer Plate set onto black cardstock using Prism Hot Foil.
Mask off the foiled ghost image with masking paper and then blend Carved Pumpkin, Picked Raspberry, and Seedless Preserves Distress Ink over the white panel using a foam blending tool. Mat the panel with some black cardstock before adhering it to a 4.75″ x 4.75″ white card base with foam adhesive. Die cut the greeting out using the flagged sentiment die from the More Sentiments Glimmer Plate set and pop it up under the feet of the characters with foam adhesive.
These cute little pillow boxes are the perfect size for a handful of candies or even a miniature bar and are super quick to make. Once you have the spacing figured out for one box, you can even keep the Glimmer plates attached to a strip of washi tape for to move them to the next box for easy mass production.
Start by die cutting purple, green, and grey cardstock with the Mini Pillow Die. Then foil one of the images and the “Boo Yah” sentiment from the Spooky Greetings Glimmer Plate set onto each pillow box die-cut using Prism Hot Foil and the Glimmer Hot Foil Machine.
Mask off the other half of the pillow box with masking paper and blend Black Soot Distress Ink around the foiled images using a blending brush. I love the spooky feel this gives the boxes and it takes no time at all!
Crease the score lines on the Mini Pillow Box and fold to adhere the tab to the other side with liquid glue. Fill with your favorite candy and press the sides in to close.
