Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers Hop with Rubbernecker Stamps

Happy Friday y’all!  Today I’m excited to be playing along in the Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop using some super cute stamps and dies from Rubbernecker.  Rubbernecker has a ton of coffee-themed products to choose from, but today I’m sharing two cards featuring some of the newest stamp sets and dies to hit the store.

I couldn’t get over how realistic the new Layered Coffee Cup stamp looked on the packaging, so immediately stamped in out using my Color Fuse Inks (Set #3 and Set #4) and cut it out with scissors (a coordinating die is available too).  It was super easy to line up each layer and really looks that amazing stamped out!

Then I stamped one of the cute cats from the Coffee Cats Stamp Set in black ink onto white cardstock.  After coloring it with my Copic markers, I cut it out using the coordinating die.  To create a doily-like background for my card, I cut white cardstock using the Slimline Solid Bubble Scallop Die and trimmed a bit off the top before stamping a sentiment from the Layered Coffee Cup Stamp Set in black ink onto it.

To assemble, I adhered a piece of patterned paper from the Perfectly Plaid Remix Paper Pad onto a top-folding A2-sized white card base.  Then I adhered the die-cut background on top with foam adhesive and popped the coffee cup and cat up on top.  I added a few white jewels around the card front to embellish.

My second card uses the new Cats in Coffee Cups Stamp Set…how adorable are these images?!  For some reason, I kept imagining these cute little guys floating on a sea of coffee bean waves…so I decided to create just that.

I started by stamping several of the images from the stamp set onto white cardstock with black ink.  After coloring them in with Copic markers, I cut them out using the coordinating dies.

To create the background, I cut white cardstock using the largest die from the Slimline Nested Stitch Dies.  Then I blended a couple of layers of clouds onto it using Sierra Ink, a blending brush, and a custom stencil I created by cutting stencil material with the Slimline Clouds Dies.  When I was finished, I stamped a greeting from the Cats in Coffee Cups Stamp Set onto the panel using Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink.

The waves were created by cutting light brown cardstock first with the same large die from the Slimline Nested Stitch Die Set, then with two of the Slimline Waves Dies.  Once cut, I stamped both waves using the Coffee Bean Background Stamp and Pecan Ink.  To give the waves a little more definition, I blended more of the same Pecan Ink around the edges.

To assemble, I matted the cloud background panel with some pink cardstock before adhering it to a top-folding slimline-sized white card base with tape runner.  Then I added the two layers of waves at the bottom with foam adhesive and popped the floating critters around the sentiment.

I hope you enjoyed these two fun coffee cards and thanks so much for stopping by today.  To hop along or link up your own creations, head on over to the Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop here!
