Welcome back friends! I am excited to be sharing two more autumn projects today created with the August release from Papertrey Ink. There are some really beautiful fall images and layering stamps in this release, so my first card uses several of those.
I stamped the pumpkin outlines from the Pumpkin Party Stamp Set in grey ink before adding orange, black, or grey detail layers over top and cutting them out with the coordinating dies. The flower and foliage from the Fall Bouquet Stamp Set was stamped in brown ink before adding yellow, orange, and brown detail layers over top and cutting them out with the coordinating dies. A little shading was then added to some of the images with Copic markers.
The Pumpkin Party Die Set also includes a fun crate die, so I cut that out of some kraft woodgrain cardstock and arranged all of my images around it. After adhering them to a background cut with one of the Essential Rectangle Dies, inked with Squeezed Lemonade, Carved Pumpkin, and Tea Dye Distress Ink, and stamped with a sentiment from the Happy Fall Mini Stamp in brown ink, I popped it up on top of a card front created with the new Maple Leaves Coverplate Die.
This next card was a lot of fun! The Storybook Halloween Mini Stamp Set is so unique and I was dying to use it on a card…for some reason I imagined a raven visiting one of those little free libraries full of Halloween texts. I stamped the books, webs, and pumpkin from the set and placed them within the frame from the Scene Everywhere: Winter Stamp Set. The bird was cut from Graphite Cardstock using the Feather Friends 14 Die and inked with either Prize Ribbon or Black Soot Distress Ink before assembling with liquid glue and foam adhesive.
To create a spooky background, I trimmed a piece of Cosmic Sky Cardstock to 3.25″ x 8.25″ and inked the top two-thirds with Prize Ribbon and Black Soot Distress Ink before splattering gold shimmer watercolor on top. After adhering all of my images to the front of the card, I added a sentiment from the Haunted House Stamp Set embossed on black cardstock in gold.
