Happy Monday friends! Today I’m excited to share a couple of projects using the new Warm Wishes Camper Collection from Spellbinders. The adorable camper design, fun comfort food add-ons, and cute sentiments in this collection inspired me to create three sweet cards perfect for the holidays or any time of year.
HOT COCOA CAMPER CARD
I had to start out by using the super cute Camper Life Die Set from the collection. You can use it as a traditional camper for your outdoorsy friends or add a cute treat to the top and turn it into a yummy food truck. Here I cut the camper and mug sign out of white, Pink Sand, Wild Berry, and Mirror Gold Cardstock to create a sweet little holiday card.
To create the background, I used the Blizzard Stencil to apply Pearl White Stardust Butter to Raindrop Cardstock. Once dry, I added it to a top-folding A2-sized white card base and popped my cute cafe truck up on top with foam adhesive.
CHOCOLATE-COVERED PRETZEL CARD
If the Camper Life Die Set isn’t really your style, there are plenty of other elements in the collection to create unique cards with. I cut white and Timber Cardstock with the pretzel die from the Sweet & Savory Die Set and added red and green Nuvo Drops over the salt grains in the design to create holiday chocolate-covered pretzels (one of my favorite treats!).
I trimmed a piece of Dune Cardstock to 4″ x 5.25″, embossed it using the new Dimensional Diamonds 3D Embossing Folder, and adhered it to a top-folding A2-sized white card base with foam adhesive. After adding the pretzels to the background with liquid glue, I embossed a sentiment onto Fern Cardstock in white using a combination of phrases from the Mini Christmas Greetings Stamp Set and the Perfect Pie Sentiments & Fillings Stamp Set.
HOT DOG BIRTHDAY CARD
With so many types of snacks in the Sweet & Savory Die Set combined with all the different cute sentiments in the Sweet & Savory Sentiments Stamp Set, I know I’ll be pulling this collection out again and again. I started this simple and bright birthday card by cutting Dune, Terra Cotta, and Saffron Cardstock using the hot dog dies in the set and embossing a fun sentiment onto Saffron Cardstock with white embossing powder.
The bold picnic table-inspired background was created by blending Candied Apple Distress Ink through the Diagonal Buffalo Plaid Stencil onto white cardstock with a blending brush. I matted the panel with both Poppy Field and Saffron Cardstock before adhering it to a top-folding A2-sized white card base with tape runner. The frame for my hot dog was cut from white and Saffron Cardstock using the Fluted Classics Circles Die Set. I popped all of the elements up on the card front with foam adhesive.
