Happy Friday friends! Just in time for the weekend, I wanted to share this wild and fun birthday card for a teenage girl made with the Zebra Background Stamp from Rubbernecker Stamps. To add a little contrast and interest, I pieced two versions of the background together, one matte and one pearl, and then added a sweet bunny image and two-part sentiment to finish it off.
- Start by stamping the little bunny image from the Over The Moon Stamp Set in Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink onto Bristol Smooth Cardstock.
- Color the image in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens and cut it out using the coordinating die.
- Stamp the Zebra Background onto two sheets of purple cardstock measuring 5.375″ x 4.125″ using Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink and Versafine Ink.
- Apply various shades of white and purple perfect pearls to the zebra stripe image stamped in Versafine Ink. Set the pearls with a mist of water.
- Trim off the top and bottom 1.5″ of the pearlized background. Discard the middle portion of the panel or set aside for another project.
- Die cut black and silver cardstock using the shadow and sentiment layers from the Birthday Script w/Shadow Die Set. Adhere together using liquid glue.
- Stamp the “Happy” sentiment from the Build A Phrase #1 Stamp Set in Versamark Ink onto black cardstock, add silver embossing powder, and melt it with a heat tool.
- Trim out the sentiment to form a small strip.
- Mat the black zebra stripe background panel with black cardstock and adhere it to a top-folding A2-sized white card base with tape runner.
- Line up the pearl panels with the pattern on the background panel and adhere them on the top and bottom of the card front with foam adhesive.
- Adhere the colored image, stamped sentiment, and die-cut sentiment onto the card front with foam adhesive.
