Spellbinders January 2021 Clubs Blog Hop

Hi all!  Today I’m super excited to be participating in a blog hop celebrating the gorgeous January 2021 Club Kits from Spellbinders.  If you’re a new visitor to my blog, I’m Annie and I love all things paper – handmade cards, gifts, and home décor.  You should have arrived here from Henriëtte’s blog, but if this is your first stop, you can click here to start back at the beginning.  Don’t forget to leave a comment on the blog for a chance to win a $50 store credit for Spellbinders products!

I love how the January Club Kits all work together, so I decided to combine elements from the Large Die of the Month, Small Die of the Month, and Clear Stamp of the Month kits to create this matching wine tag and card set perfect for a special Valentine’s Day gift.

The wine tag is super easy to make.  Start by trimming pink cardstock to 7″ x 3″ and then score it at 2.75″ along the longest side.  Center the two smallest dies from the Elegant Twist Circles Die Set in the smaller area created by the score line and run it through your diecutting machine.  Then round all four corners using a ¼” corner rounder.

Die cut grey cardstock using the center panel from the Small Die of the Month Kit.  To create the white backdrop, I traced the die onto white cardstock and cut it out just inside the lines with a pair of scissors before adhering it to the back of the grey die-cut with liquid glue.  Adhere it to the pink tag with foam adhesive.

Stamp the sentiment heart onto white cardstock with Versamark Ink, cover it in white embossing powder, and melt it with a heat tool.  Die-cut it out with the heart outline die from the Large Die of the Month Kit and lightly blend pink and grey ink over the shape with blending brushes.  Pop it up in the center of the tag and embellish the tiny flowers with pearls if desired.

Using many of the same supplies, I created a simple card to go with the wine bottle.  The largest die from the Small Die of the Month creates a gorgeous backdrop that can be used on so many different types of cards.  I started by using it to cut the same pink cardstock as before and adhered it to a top-folding A2-sized white card base with foam adhesive.

I stamped and inked the sentiment heart for this card in the same way as before, then layered it over a white mat cut with the center panel die from the Small Die of the Month Kit.  The second heart was cut from grey and white cardstocks using the layered heart dies from the Large Die of the Month Kit.

To embellish, I added flowers and leafy branches from the Large Die of the Month Kit in two corners and a spray of pearls across the front of the card.

I hope you enjoyed these quick and easy projects made with the January 2021 Spellbinders Club Kits.  Keep on hopping for tons of inspiration using the kits and a chance to win store credit for Spellbinders products!  Your next stop is Yasmin’s blog, but here’s the entire list in case you’ve missed a stop or need to start back at the beginning:
