Welcome to the weekend friends! Our leaves have just reached their peak color in my area, and I am hoping to get outside and enjoy them over the next couple of days. In honor of that, I’m excited to share a couple of bright autumn cards today made with beautiful stamps and dies from Rubbernecker.
AUTUMN FARM TRUCK CARD
It’s that time of year again where pumpkins start popping up everywhere. In my neck of the woods, it’s not unusual to see tractors pulling cartloads or old farm trucks full to the brim with these bright orange orbs of happiness headed to the farmers market. I wanted to recreate that feeling in a card using fun dies from Rubbernecker.
- Die cut Blue Spruce, black, red, and Mirror Silver cardstock using the Old Truck Back Die Set.
- Assemble the back and roof of the truck separately with liquid glue so that you can add the harvest to the truck bed later.
- Die cut white cardstock using the Pumpkins & Ivy Die Set and the Apple Pears & Corn Die Set.
- Color the die-cuts with Copic markers, adding tons of bright color and shading for painterly look.
- Trim patterned cardstock from the Harvest Time Paper Pad to 4″ x 5.25″ and a coordinating solid cardstock from the same pad to 4.25″ x 5.5″.
- Die cut white cardstock using one of the dies from the Nested Oval Small Stitch Die Set and apply Sky Ink to the top and Juniper Ink to the bottom of the die-cut with a blending brush.
- Stamp a greeting from the Splatter Leaves Stamp Set onto white cardstock using Versafine Clair Acorn Ink and trim out with scissors or a paper trimmer.
- Mat the patterned cardstock with the matching solid cardstock and adhere to a top-folding A2-sized white card base with tape runner.
- Add the oval panel to the center of the card front with foam adhesive.
- Adhere the roof (front) of the truck to the oval panel with foam adhesive and add the pumpkins, fruit, and veggies behind it with liquid glue and foam adhesive for lots of dimension.
- Add the back of the truck on top of the truck bed contents next with more liquid glue and foam adhesive.
- Pop a few more harvest veggies up around the truck and add the sentiment to the top right corner with foam adhesive.
AUTUMN FLORAL THANK YOU CARD
While brightly colored leaves get all the love during fall, I actually love the gorgeous fiery autumn flowers more. Here I created a bright autumn thank you card using one of the beautiful layered floral stamp sets from Rubbernecker along with some pretty background elements.
- Stamp the flowers from the Just Love Stamp Set onto white cardstock using Lemon, Citrus, Apricot, and Cinnamon Inks and the stems using Fern and Juniper Inks.
- Cut the flowers and stem out using the coordinating dies.
- Trim a piece of patterned cardstock from the Autumn Leaves Paper Pad to 4.25″ x 5.5″.
- Die cut white cardstock using the largest die from the Nested Loops Die Set.
- Trim a piece of Dune Cardstock to 3.25″ x 4.5″ and stamp the Wood Grain Fence Background Stamp over it using Mocha Ink.
- Stamp a sentiment from the Kittie Says Phrases #1 Stamp Set onto white cardstock using Versafine Clair Acorn Ink.
- Trim the sentiment out into a 0.5″ strip. To create a faux dimensional banner look, trim two more pieces of cardstock to 0.5″ square, then snip one side into a fishtail shape with scissors.
- Adhere the patterned cardstock to a top-folding A2-sized white card base with tape runner.
- Mat the stamped background panel with the white die-cut frame and add to the center of the card front with foam adhesive.
- Pop the floral bunch up on top with more foam adhesive and add the sentiment strip over the stem with foam adhesive, tucking the fishtail ends underneath on either side to look like a wavy banner.
