Hello again friends…we’ve almost made it to the weekend! Today I wanted to share a couple of cards made with the Oh What Fun Collection from Spellbinders. This collection is a little different and contains beautifully printed die-cuts resembling some of the most popular holiday die designs from years past. The Gnomie Christmas Dance die-cuts feature fun bears, bottle brush trees, gnomes, and more and are perfect for adding a quick topper to fun backgrounds like I’ve done here. BEARY MERRY CHRISTMAS CARD
This adorable bear stole my heart back when I had to cut and assemble it myself using the Chill Bear Die Set and it’s stealing it again in this beautiful printed version! I decided to add him to a frosty nighttime scene that I created by applying Satin Gold Hot Foil to Cosmic Sky Cardstock using the Twilight Sparkle Strip Glimmer Plate. The snowy hill was cut from white cardstock using the Color Block Scenic Scape Die Set.
After popping him up on top of the snowy hill with foam adhesive, I added two printed die-cut trees to the background (modeled after the Bottle Brush Trees Die Set) and a fun sentiment speech bubble to the top-right corner. I love how the die-cuts come to life in this scene!
DELIVERING CHEER CARD
Another old favorite of mine, the Special Delivery Die Set, is printed and cut in three beautiful colors in the Gnomie Christmas Dance Printed Die Cut pack. I chose the red car and added it to a snowy scene cut with the Through The Woods Die Set using Raindrop and white cardstock.
For a little extra sparkle, I applied Champagne Stardust Butter to Fern Cardstock using the Twinkle Stencil, trimmed the panel down to 4″ x 5.25″, and added it to a top-folding A2-sized white card base with foam adhesive. Then I simply popped the car, snowy background, and sentiment die-cut up on the card front with more foam adhesive.
DANCING GNOME CARD
Lastly, the Gnomie Christmas Dance Printed Die-Cuts make quick work of this adorable gnome whose legs move originally introduced in the Dancing Gnome Die Set. I added an ornament to each of his hands and assembled his dancing body on top of another fun background.
After trimming a piece of Poppy Field Cardstock to 4″ x 5.25″, I embossed it with the latest Embossing Folder of the Month, “Scattered Christmas“, matted it with Mirror Gold Cardstock, and adhered it to a top-folding A2-sized white card base with tape runner. Then I cut Mirror Gold and white cardstock using the starry background dies from the Rejoice Nativity Die Set and popped my dancing gnome up on top. I love that cute sentiment speech bubble too!
