Celebrate The Season Collection from Spellbinders

Welcome to the weekend friends!  Today I’m thrilled to share one more new collection that’s part of the July release from Spellbinders…the Celebrate The Season Collection.  With gorgeous traditional holiday designs, beautiful backgrounds, and a variety of sentiments, this collection has something for everyone when it comes to holiday cardmaking.  I created three fun Christmas cards with some of the products in the collection perfect for sending a little holiday cheer.

MERRY LITTLE RED SLEIGH CARD

The Winter Welcome Sled Die Set is such a gorgeous set with so many beautiful details.  From the embossed woodgrain on the sled to the tiny laces on the ice skates, any card made with this die set looks instantly elegant.  I cut my sled from Phone Booth and Mirror Silver Cardstock and added two-tone grey skates and a white poinsettia with greenery to embellish.

The background was created by trimming a piece of Raindrop Cardstock to 4″ x 5.25″ and embossing it with the Sweater Weather Embossing Folder before adhering it to a top-folding A2-sized white card base with foam adhesive.  After popping the sled up on top of the card front with foam adhesive, I added a sentiment from the Glitter Wishes Glimmer Plate Set that I had foiled using Silver Hot Foil.  Crystal Mix Gems were added to finish off this pretty card.

HOLIDAY CHEER CARDINAL WREATH

I love all of the layered birds that Spellbinders has been releasing lately, and the Tweet Cardinal is no exception!  Fearing he might get lonely, I created a female cardinal for him to hang out with using the recently-released Little Chickadee Die Set.  The wreath was formed using the pine branches from the Holiday Blooms Die Set…I overlapped three layers of branches cut from Fern and Rainforest Cardstock for a full, but simple wreath.  Then I added some of the flowers and berries from the set for a little extra color and finished off the flower centers with a few Gold Mix Gems.

To create the background, I trimmed a piece of Cosmic Sky Cardstock to 5.25″ square and embossed it with the Knock On Wood 3D Embossing Folder before matting it with Mirror Gold Cardstock and adhering it to a top-folding 5.5″ square white card base.  After adhering my wreath and cardinals to the front of the card, I added a sentiment cut from Mirror Gold Cardstock using the Mix & Match Holiday Greetings Die Set.

SLEIGH BELLS & REINDEER CARD

Lastly, I thought the little sleigh bells from the More Holiday Decorations Die Set were so cute that I wanted to create a little silly and fun card with them.  I added straps of them all over a piece of Dune Cardstock that had been embossed with the Dazzling Dots Embossing Folder and matted with Fern Cardstock.

That cute reindeer was created by adding Gold Hot Foil to white cardstock with the Deer Friend Glimmer Plate Set and coloring it in with Copic markers.  I gave him his own sleigh bell and a few holly leaves before adhering him to the front of the card with foam adhesive.  To finish off this simple card, I added another sentiment from the Glitter Wishes Glimmer Plate Set, foiled in Red Hot Foil.
