Spellbinders August 2022 Club Kits

Happy August friends! It’s reveal day for the August 2022 Club Kits from Spellbinders and there are so many gorgeous and versatile designs this month!  Today I’m sharing ten card projects featuring the Large Die of the MonthSmall Die of the MonthGlimmer Kit of the MonthClear Stamp of the Month KitEmbossing Folder of the Month, Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month, Card Kit of the Month, and Clear Stamp & Die of the Month Kits.

LARGE DIE OF THE MONTH

This month’s Large Die of the Month Kit, “Strawberry Patch“, is a huge set of 16 dies that can be used to create tons of strawberries and you can choose to leave them on the plant or place them in the cute basket included.  I wanted to use as many berries as I could, so I created a branch of them along with a few stray strawberries for this bright mini slimline card.

The strawberry plant was cut from Poppy Field, Fern, Rainforest, white, and Beeswax Cardstock and pieced together using liquid glue.  A pretty background was created by embossing some Waterfall Cardstock with this month’s Embossing Folder of the Month.

After adhering the embossed background to a top-folding mini slimline-sized white card base with foam adhesive, I popped the plant and berries up on top with more foam adhesive.  Then I added a cute sentiment stamped in black ink using the Perfect Pies Sentiments and Fillings Stamp Set (a great complement to this die set!).

SMALL DIE OF THE MONTH

This month’s Small Die of the Month Kit“Outline Sentiments”, is one that I’m going to be pulling out again and again.  The kit contains 17 dies that allow you to cut five of the most common greetings with a coordinating shadow layer as well as some fun layering flowers.  I chose a light and airy summertime color palette for this pretty hello card.

I cut the flowers and leaves in the kit from Pink Sand, Dahlia, Wild Berry, Beeswax, Waterfall, and Teal Topaz Cardstock before assembling them with liquid glue and adding Crystal Mix Gems to embellish.  The sentiment and shadow layer were then cut from Teal Topaz and white cardstock.

After trimming a piece of white cardstock to 4″ x 5.25″, I embossed it with this month’s Embossing Folder of the Month before adhering it to a top-folding A2-sized white card base with foam adhesive.  Then I arranged the elements on the card front and adhere them down with a mix of liquid glue and foam adhesive for tons of dimension.

GLIMMER KIT OF THE MONTH

This month’s Glimmer Kit of the Month is a really great one if you haven’t had a chance to try any of the Essential Glimmer Solid Shapes yet.  “Illustrated Floral and Solid” contains four Glimmer plates and three coordinating dies that can be used to create a simple floral spray, the negative design within the solid oval, as well as a couple of beautiful sentiments.

I love the look of the solid shapes, so I started by applying Matte Gold Foil to a piece of white cardstock using the floral spray glimmer plate and a sentiment plate in the kit.  Then I took the leftover foil and applied it to the center of a piece of Wild Berry Cardstock using the solid oval shape in the kit.  The result is a gorgeous clean and simple card front…I cut the edges using the largest die from the Fluted Classics Rectangle Die Set for a little extra detail.

After adhering the background panel to a top-folding A2-sized white card base with foam adhesive, I added the sentiment on top with more foam adhesive (coordinating die is included in the kit).  A sweep of Gold Mix Gems finished off this clean and simple card.

CLEAR STAMP & DIE OF THE MONTH KIT

This month’s Clear Stamp of the Month Kit is another must-have!  “Perfect Floral Bloom” is a fun set of 28 stamps that can be used to created gorgeous layered flowers, leaves, and buds perfect for creating simple and pretty bouquets all year round.  If your subscription includes the coordinating dies, you’ll also get 11 dies to cut the images out.

I stamped tons of the layered images using my Color Fuse Inks for a bright and pretty bouquet.  Since the images are simpler than most layering floral sets out there, I didn’t struggle to line these up and stamping went quickly and easily.  After cutting them all out with the coordinating dies, I started to arrange a big bouquet for the center of my card.

I added subtle texture to my background panel again using the Embossing Folder of the Month before adhering it to my top-folding A2-sized white card base with foam adhesive.  After adding the bouquet to the card front with both foam adhesive and liquid glue, I stamped a sentiment from the kit in black ink and embellished with Crystal Mix Gems.

EMBOSSING FOLDER OF THE MONTH

By now you’ve seen this month’s Embossing Folder of the Month, “Intertwined Lattice“, several times because I love the pretty and versatile design so much!  Its simple woven design works on all kinds of cards because it’s both interesting and subtle at the same time.

I trimmed a piece of Cosmic Sky Cardstock to 4″ x 5.25″, embossed it with the Intertwined Lattice Embossing Folder, and adhered it to a top-folding A2-sized white card base with foam adhesive so that the debossed side was facing out (both sides look amazing with this folder!).  Then I added a basket full of gorgeous berries cut using the Strawberry Patch Die Set.

The sentiment was stamped onto white cardstock with blue ink using the Perfect Pies Sentiments and Fillings Stamp Set and added beneath the basket with foam adhesive.  To finish off the card, I add a few Crystal Mix Gems.

AMAZING PAPER GRACE DIE OF THE MONTH

And how beautiful is this month’s Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month?!  The “Peekaboo Trellis Panels” die set contains 13 dies that can be used to cut two different intricate strip panels, beautiful roses and leaves, and even a sentiment.  I created a simple hugs card using one of the oversized strip panels in the kit and added some pretty layered roses.

After trimming a piece of white cardstock to 5″ x 7″, I cut the bottom half using the vine strip panel from the kit.  I cut a second panel out of Mirror Gold Cardstock and adhered it behind the card front with liquid glue for a little golden shadow.  Then I added a piece of Fern Cardstock behind the strip before adhering it all to a top-folding A7-sized white card base.

The roses and leaves were cut from Mirror Gold, Pink Sand, and Rainforest Cardstock.  I added a little Picked Raspberry and Mowed Lawn Distress Ink to the designs for some depth before adhering them together and adding them to the front of the card with foam adhesive.  A pretty sentiment and Gold Mix Gems finished off this simple and elegant card.

CARD KIT OF THE MONTH

Lastly, this month’s Card Kit of the Month, “Butterfly Sparkle” is full of dreamy images, pretty sentiment stamps, and a cute die set that cuts a gorgeous frame, butterfly, and sparkling stars.  Although the die set is beautiful, I was so taken with the pretty die cuts and stamps in the kit that I created four cards using just them instead this time.

This first card was super easy to put together.  I layered some of the pretty patterned paper in the kit and added a beautiful die-cut journal card on top with foam adhesive.  Then I simply added some of the fun layered butterfly stickers included for a bright and feminine encouragement card.

This next card is all about that gorgeous girl die-cut!  I added some of the foiled patterned paper to one of the card bases in the kit and arranged some of the pretty die-cut shapes on top.  After adhering the all down with a mix of liquid glue and foam adhesive, I added some die-cut and chipboard sentiments to create this easy and pretty card for a friend.

And for even simpler card, I stamped the dandelion images from the stamp set over and over in black ink across the bottom of a piece of patterned paper from the kit.  After adding a sentiment from the stamp set in the top corner, I matted it with black cardstock and added it to one of the card bases for a clean and simple birthday card.

And when I see cat images, I need to use them…here I added two of the cute cat die-cut shapes to some layered patterned paper from the kit.  After adding a chipboard sentiment sticker, I embellished with pretty sparkly foam star stickers and called this easy and cute card done.

I hope you enjoyed these bright and cheery summertime card projects and thanks so much for stopping by today.  You can subscribe to any of the Spellbinders Clubs now and never miss a great kit like these again!  And don’t miss the Bogotastic Sale…you can buy one, get one free of tons of amazing products from now until Sunday, August 7th!
