Happy Thanksgiving to my friends from the US! I don’t want to take up a lot of your time today, but thought I would quickly share some Christmas card inspiration using the Fall & Winter 2020 Collection from LDRS Creative just in case you were planning on crafting this weekend.
This pretty card is all about the coloring. I LOVE the new Poinsettia Background Stamp and decided to emboss it in gold onto some Distress Watercolor Cardstock before coloring it with a few Sparkle Pens. It’s fairly easy to watercolor like this with just a handful of sparkle pens…just add pure color straight from the colored sparkle pen where your darkest shadows would be, then gradually blend the ink out to the highlight areas using a Clear Sparkle Pen (wiping excess colored ink off on a paper towel if needed as you go).
After I had colored these four flowers, I cut the panel down to 4.125″ x 5.375″ and then fussy cut the one corner off with scissors. This allowed me to emboss a greeting from the Elegant Holiday Wishes stamp set in gold in the corner of a piece of green cardstock and adhere the poinsettia border panel on top around it with foam adhesive.
This cute holiday hello card was super easy thanks to that fun patterned paper from the City Sidewalks Paper pad in the background. After adhering it to a top-folding A2-size white card base with tape runner, I popped a little snowy sidewalk up on the bottom that I had cut from some white cardstock using one edge of the Slimline Scallop Die Set.
Then I added some cute characters and little town accessories to the scene from the Snowball Fight and Country Corner Accessories stamp sets (stamped in Raven ink and colored with Copic markers before cutting them out with the coordinating dies). To finish the card off I added a sentiment banner stamped using the Christmas Wishes Sentiment Stack stamp set and cut out with Wave Ribbon Stack Coordinating Die.
