Have you seen the latest release from Rubbernecker? The June release is full of fun summertime images, beautiful new florals, and some pretty sentiments that are perfect for so many different occasions!
AWESOME OCEAN LIFE CARD
I loved the new Every Summer Stamp Set, so I set out to create a fun ocean scene full of critters and other ocean life. I added my colored images to a simple background with a little extra texture added thanks to some fun background stamps.
- Stamp the images from the Every Summer Stamp Set onto white cardstock using black alcohol-friendly ink.
- Color the images in with Tombow ABT Pro Markers and fussycut them out with a pair of scissors.
- Trim a piece of Waterfall Cardstock to 4.25″ x 5.5″ and stamp the Chickenwire Background on top using Beachside Ink for a subtle tone-on-tone look.
- Trim a piece of Portobello Cardstock to about 2″ x 5.5″ and die cut the top off using one of the Stitched Hill Dies.
- Stamp the die-cut with the Splatter Background Stamp using Mocha and Cinnamon Ink to give it the appearance of sand.
- Stamp a sentiment from the Color My World Florals Stamp Set onto white cardstock using Versafine Clair Warm Breeze Ink.
- Trim the sentiment out closely with scissors.
- Adhere the aqua background panel to a top-folding A2-sized white card base using tape runner.
- Add the sandy hill to the bottom of the card front with foam adhesive.
- Arrange the ocean life images around the scene and adhere down with a mix of liquid glue and foam adhesive for lots of dimension.
- Add the sentiment to the top corner with more foam adhesive.
BIRTHDAY FLOWER GIRL CARD
The beautiful image from the Flower Girl Stamp Set has so many gorgeous details that I wanted to make sure I didn’t detract from her in any way. With soft, colorful inking and a little bit of texture, I gave her a subtle party atmosphere for this easy birthday card.
- Stamp the image from the Flower Girl Stamp Set onto white cardstock with black alcohol-friendly ink.
- Color the image in with Tombow ABT Pro markers and fussy-cut it out with scissors, leaving a thin white border.
- Die cut white cardstock using the largest die from the Nested Deckle Rectangle Die Set.
- Blend soft colors all over the panel using a blending brush and Posey, Lemon, and Beachside Inks.
- Stamp a sentiment from the Flower Girl Stamp Set in the top right corner of the panel with Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink.
- To add a little subtle texture, die cut the background panel again using the Flowering Vine Pierced Cover Die.
- Add the background to a top-folding A2-sized white card base with foam adhesive.
- Pop the colored image up in the bottom left corner of the card front with more foam adhesive.
- Embellish with Crystal Mix Gems.
