Happy Monday friends! I’m so excited to share a couple of cards made with brand new additions to the uber popular Cardmaker Collection from Spellbinders. With some truly unique new images, these stamp sets are perfect for all kinds of occasions. Here I created two bright and cheery cards perfect for summer celebrations.
KOALA SUNSET PARTY CARD
I couldn’t get over how adorable the characters in the Playful Koalas Stamp & Die Set were, so I picked these up first. After stamping all of the images from the set onto white cardstock with black alcohol-friendly ink, I colored them in with Copic markers and cut them out with the coordinating dies (included in the set!).
The background was created by blending Carved Pumpkin, Picked Raspberry, Wilted Violet, and Blueprint Sketch Distress Oxide Ink onto some white cardstock with blending tools. Once it had completely dried, I stamped a sentiment from the set onto it using Versamark Ink, added white embossing powder, and melted it with my heat tool.
The frame was cut from some kraft cardstock using the Fluted Classics Rectangles and Fluted Classics Ovals Die Sets. I adhered it over the sunset background with foam adhesive and added it to a top-folding A2-sized white card base with tape runner. Then I just adhered the colored images around the frame with foam adhesive to finish off the card.
YOU CRUSHED IT CARD
Another fun and unique set in this release is the Bubble Over Stamp & Die Set. I stamped two soda cans and straws onto white cardstock with black ink, adding a sentiment to one, and die cut them all out with the coordinating dies. Then I blended Carved Pumpkin, Ripe Persimmon, Shaded Lilac, Wilted Violet, and Pumice Stone Distress Inks over the cans and Picked Raspberry and Twisted Citron Distress Inks over the straws. To bring out the sentiment more, I filled in the open areas with a white gel pen.
The background was created by first adding Lavender Petal Hot Foil to white cardstock using the Diagonal Glimmer Stripes Plate and my Glimmer Hot Foil Machine. Then I stamped the Simple Stripes Stamp Set on top with orange ink and cut it out using the large inner rim die from the Fluted Classics Rectangles Die Set. I layered this onto a mat created from Lilac Blossom Cardstock cut with the large outer rim and insert dies from the same set and adhered it to a top-folding A2-sized white card base with tape runner.
Once the soda cans were adhered with a bit of foam adhesive, I added a few Crystal Mix Gems above them to mimic bubbles. To finish the card off, I foiled a sentiment from the Mini Everyday Greetings Glimmer Plate Set with Silver Hot Foil and popped it up beneath the focal image.
