Merry & Bright Collection from Spellbinders

Welcome to the weekend friends!  I wanted to stop by quickly today to share a couple of projects made with the new Merry & Bright Collection  from Spellbinders.  (Check out the rest of the October release here…so much gorgeous stuff this month!)  This collection is a smaller one and contains a few versatile die sets and an embossing folder perfect for making simple and pretty cards for the holidays or maybe all year round.  Here I’m sharing one card made with many of the products in the collection, but be sure to check out the other samples below that I recently shared over on the Spellbinders blog for more inspiration.

I started by cutting the “tree” out of white cardstock and various colors of Glitter Foam using the Merry & Bright Die Set.  This fun design is super easy to assemble and perfect for mass-producing your holiday cards!  The sentiment “tree base” was cut out of Mirror Silver Cardstock.

To create the background, I embossed a piece of Pomegranate Cardstock using the Peppermint Stripes Embossing Folder and rubbed a white pigment ink pad over to raised areas to give a soft striping effect.  After adding the tree die-cut to the center of the card with foam adhesive, I cut some tiny floral bunches out of white, Beeswax, and Rainforest Cardstock using the Petite Blooms & Sentiments Die Set and scattered them around the card.
