Happy Thursday friends! I’m excited to be back today to share a bunch of projects made with the new Serenade Of Autumn Collection from Spellbinders. (Check out the rest of the October release here…so much gorgeous stuff this month!) This collection is HUGE and contains dies, BetterPress plates, stencils, and a whole slew of paper collection products all geared towards beautiful autumn cardmaking. Here I created four pretty cards with just some of the products in the collection perfect for sending a bright autumn hello.
STENCILED SUNFLOWER CARD
I love anything sunflower, so I was overjoyed to see the beautiful Layered Sunflower Stencil in this collection. I started by blending Distress Inks through each layer of the design onto white cardstock with a blending tool until the sunflower bunch was complete. Then I trimmed the panel down to 3.75″ square and matted it with Mirror Gold Cardstock.
To assemble the card, I trimmed a piece of pretty patterned paper from the Serenade Of Autumn Paper Pad to 4.75″ square, matted it with Mirror Gold Cardstock, added a strip of Dark Green Satin Ribbon around the center, and mounted it all on top of a 5″ square white card base. After popping the stenciled panel up on top of the card front with foam adhesive, I added a sentiment foiled in gold using the Must Have Sentiments Glimmer Plate Set and a smattering of Gold Mix Gems.
AUTUMN BUNCH MINI SLIMLINE CARD
I have been wanting autumn-themed Sealed products since Spellbinders first introduced their wax seal line and it makes me so happy that they’re finally here! I cut brightly colored cardstock with the Autumn Sealed Spring Die Set and blended some Distress Ink on the edges to give them dimension. I also pressed some melted Green Wax Beads with the new Sunflower Wax Seal Stamp and traced over the pretty design with a gold metallic marker.
To assemble the card, I first trimmed a piece of Cosmic Sky Cardstock to 3.25″ x 6.25″, embossed it with the Evergreen 3D Embossing Folder, matted it with Mirror Gold Cardstock and wrapped it with some gold cording before adhering it to a top-folding Portobello card base measuring 3.5″ x 6.5″. Once my sprigs were arranged underneath the gold cord, I added my wax seal on top and embellished with Gold Mix Gems.
SIMPLE SUNFLOWER CARD
And how pretty is this layered sunflower from the Sunflower Serenade Die Set? I cut mine out of Beeswax, Rainforest, Timber, and Latte Cardstocks and added a bit of shading with Carved Pumpkin and Mowed Lawn Distress Inks before assembling it with liquid glue. Then I cut a pretty greeting out of Lagoon and Mirror Gold Cardstock using the Serenade Sentiments Die Set (so many beautiful sentiments in this set!).
To create the background I embossed a piece of Lagoon Cardstock with the Autumn Serenade 3D Embossing Folder and rubbed gold gilding wax lightly over the raised parts to bring out the design more. Then I just popped the sunflower and sentiment up on top with foam adhesive to complete the card.
PRETTY AUTUMN THANK YOU CARD
Lastly, the patterned paper in the Serenade Of Autumn Paper Pad is so beautiful, I wanted to create a really simple card where the focus was on one of my favorite designs in the pack. I trimmed the paper to 4″ x 5.25″ and matted it with Mirror Gold Cardstock before adding it to a top-folding A2-sized white card base.
The beautiful script sentiment was cut from Mirror Gold and Alabaster Cardstock using the Serenade Sentiments Die Set and popped up on top of the card front with foam adhesive. To complete the greeting, I foiled one of the sentiments from the Mini Sincere Sentiments Glimmer Plate Set in gold, and cut out just the piece I needed before adhering it to the card with foam adhesive. Gold Mix Gems were added to embellish.
