Have you seen the brand new Mini Slimline Collection from Rubbernecker? This is a super fun size to work with if you’re looking for a different card format to try but regular slimline cards are too large for you. Mini slimline dies are also typically proportioned well for use on the front of a typical A2-sized card, making them even more versatile.
Today I used one of the new mini slimline die sets, “Mini Slimline Tabbed Deckle Die Set“, to create a simple and cute encouragement card. I thought the vertical format of this new card size was perfect for this little scene!
- Stamp the images from the Babies on Balloons Stamp Set onto white cardstock using black alcohol-friendly ink.
- Color the images using Tombow ABT Pro Markers and cut the out with the coordinating dies.
- Die cut a piece of white cardstock using the largest die from the Mini Slimline Tabbed Deckle Die Set.
- Using the Clouds Stencil, apply Sierra Ink over the top of cloud edge with a blending brush. Repeat all the way up the panel until you a sky full of clouds as shown.
- Stamp a sentiment from the Babies on Balloons Stamp Set on the right side of the panel using Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink.
- Trim a piece of Cosmic Sky Cardstock to 3.5″ x 6″ and adhere it to the front of a top-folding mini slimline-sized white card base with tape runner.
- Add the cloudy sky background to the card front with foam adhesive.
- Position the colored images on the card front to determine placement and then adhere white twine to the background with liquid glue for the balloon strings.
- Add the colored images over top with foam adhesive.
