Happy Monday friends! I’m so excited to share another new collection with you today from Spellbinders – Flea Market Finds by Cathe Holden. If you love the look of vintage, but prefer brighter colors and more feminine designs, then this collection is definitely for you! I loved the gorgeous floral stickers, fun mini envelope dies, and beautiful patterned paper in this latest installment from Cathe, so I created three pretty spring cards for a friend.
BOTANICAL PRINTS FRIENDSHIP CARD
I have always had a thing for vintage botanical prints and even used to use them to practice drawing flowers years ago! I matted a few of my favorites from the Stationer’s Boutique Sticker Pad onto Fern Cardstock to really draw the eye to them and stamped a greeting from the Sentiments For You Stamp Set onto Alabaster Cardstock in a matching green ink before cutting it out with a die from the Mini Envelopes 2 Die Set.
To create the background, I trimmed a piece of Dune Cardstock to 4″ x 5.25″ and embossed the lower half using the Tile Reflection 3D Embossing Folder. After adhering a piece of patterned paper from the Petite Patterns Paper Pad to the top half of the embossed panel, I wrapped a border sticker from the Stationer’s Boutique Sticker Pad around the center and added a tiny bow of natural jute twine.
A LITTLE GIFT ENVELOPE CARD
Even if vintage is not your style and you don’t see yourself using the papers and ephemera in this collection, you’ll want to be sure to check out the Mini Envelopes 1 and Mini Envelopes 2 Die Sets! These massive die sets each include two different styles of envelopes (that are the perfect sizes for card fronts!), card inserts that fit inside each envelope, and tags as well as other cute embellishments. I cut Dune Cardstock using the Mini Envelopes 2 Die Set and filled it with some pretty printed die cuts from the Coat Check Miscellany Pack for this cute card.
The background was created by matting a piece of patterned paper from the Petite Patterns Paper Pad with Dune Cardstock and layering plenty of gorgeous stickers from the Stationer’s Boutique Sticker Pad and ephemera from the Coat Check Miscellany Pack. After adhering my little envelope to the card front with liquid glue, I added a pretty greeting foiled in gold using the Glitter Wishes Glimmer Plate Set.
FLORAL FRIENDSHIP CARD
Lastly, I wanted to use one of those big, beautiful flower stickers from the Stationer’s Boutique Sticker Pad as my focal point for this bright friendship card. I started by adhering a piece of blue patterned paper from the Petite Patterns Paper Pad onto a top-folding A2-sized white card base. Then I arranged a bunch of pretty images from the Stationer’s Boutique Sticker Pad and the Coat Check Miscellany Pack (I LOVE that floral stamp strip!) on top.
The big floral bunch from the Stationer’s Boutique Sticker Pad was adhered on top with foam adhesive. To finish off the card, I stamped a sentiment from the We All Dance Sentiments Stamp Set in blue ink onto Alabaster Cardstock and cut it out with one of the dies from the Mini Envelopes 2 Die Set (check out that gorgeous embossed border…I love those little details!).
