Happy April friends! The April 2023 Club Kits from Spellbinders have been revealed and there are some beautiful and intricate designs this month! Today I’m sharing seven card projects featuring the Large Die of the Month, Small Die of the Month, Glimmer Kit of the Month, Clear Stamp of the Month Kit, Embossing Folder of the Month, 3D Embossing Folder of the Month, Stitching Die of the Month, and Clear Stamp & Die of the Month Kits.

LARGE DIE OF THE MONTH
This month’s Large Die of the Month Kit, “Punch & Pierce Frame & Sentiments“, is a massive set of 15 dies that can be used to create a beautiful, intricate frame or background design as well as at least four different large and layered sentiments. I used the set to make this soft and pretty thank you card here but combined more of the sentiments with many of the other clubs below as well!
I started by cutting the frame and sentiment from the kit out of white and Mirror Gold Cardstock, layering them up with liquid glue. Then I blended Dried Marigold, Kitsch Flamingo, and Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide Inks over a panel of white cardstock to create that bright ombre background. After popping the elements on top of the card front with foam adhesive, I added some pink and orange flowers from the Be Bold Blooms Die Set to each corner and a few Gold Mix Gems around the sentiment.
SMALL DIE OF THE MONTH
This month’s Small Die of the Month Kit, “Punch & Pierce Borders“, is another beautiful set perfect for intricate backgrounds. The kit contains 8 cutting dies that allow you to cut five different borders resembling gorgeous eyelet lace fabric and three outer frame dies to customize the edges. You can cover nearly an entire card front by cutting several of the borders together like I’ve done here, or just add one or two for a pretty decorative accent.
I chose three of the border patterns from the set, mirrored them, and used the edge die to create this large white background backed with a slightly larger panel cut from Mirror Gold Cardstock. After adhering this on top of a background made by embossing Island Blue Cardstock with the Dimensional Diamonds 3D Embossing Folder, I added another sentiment from this month’s Large Die of the Month Kit and a few floral bunches cut with the Be Bold Blooms Die Set.
GLIMMER KIT OF THE MONTH
This month’s Glimmer Kit of the Month, “Glimmer Leaf Panel” contains 3 Glimmer plates that can be used to foil an entire A2-sized card front (foiled twice as shown) as well as two sweet sentiments. The kit also includes one coordinating die to cut out several of the leafy branches from the foiled panel to use as swags and wreaths. I applied Pastel Mint Hot Foil onto a white panel with the kit and added Salvaged Patina and Peacock Feathers Distress Ink to the branches using the optional add-on Leaf Panel Stencil.
The large sentiment was cut from Glitter Teal Foam and white cardstock using the Large Die of the Month Kit and popped up on top of the foiled panel above one of the sentiments from the this month’s Glimmer Kit. To finish off this simple, monochromatic card, I added a few Crystal Mix Gems.
STITCHING DIE OF THE MONTH
This month’s Stitching Die of the Month is another fun one with simple stitching perfect for beginners! This month’s kit, “Stitched Fanfare“, is a set of 6 dies that creates a beautiful layered and stitched focal point along with a bold sentiment. I chose shades of pink and gold for this bright and feminine stitched card.
I started by cutting the panels from the kit out of Pink Sand, Fruit Punch, Mirror Gold, and white cardstock and stitched them using white thread. After layering them up with liquid glue, I added them on top of a piece of Wild Berry Cardstock that I had embossed with this month’s Embossing Folder of the Month. To embellish, I added a few flowers and leaves cut from Persimmon, Chamomile, and Peridot Cardstock using the Mini Blooms & Sprigs Die Set.
CLEAR STAMP & DIE OF THE MONTH KIT
This month’s Clear Stamp of the Month Kit, “Friendship Garden” is a set of 6 stamps that contains one giant floral image, a label shape, and four beautiful sentiments to stamp inside of it. If your subscription includes the coordinating dies, you’ll also get 5 dies to cut several images and some of the sentiments out. I stamped the floral image onto white cardstock with black alcohol-friendly ink, and colored everything with my Copic markers before cutting them out with the coordinating dies for this simple and pretty thank you card.
The background was created by trimming a piece of Glacier Cardstock to 4″ x 5.25″ and embossing it with this month’s Embossing Folder of the Month. To blend a bit more with this background panel, I colored the sky behind my garden image with a B00 marker before popping it up on top with foam adhesive. I love how the sentiments in the kit fit inside of this cute label shape, so I stamped one of my favorites and cut it out with the coordinating die to place beneath my colored image.
3D EMBOSSING FOLDER OF THE MONTH
This month’s 3D Embossing Folder of the Month is so unique and versatile! “3D Patchwork” is composed of several different patterns within smaller panels to create a quilt-like look with tons of texture. Emboss an entire background using some or all of the different patches or trim out your favorite to use as a border or focal point! I inked a panel of white cardstock with Squeezed Lemonade, Dried Marigold, and Kitsch Flamingo Distress Oxide Ink before embossing it with the 3D Patchwork Embossing Folder, then rubbed a white pigment ink pad over top to bring out the design a bit more.
After matting the panel with Mirror Gold Cardstock, I adhered it to a top-folding A2-sized white card base with tape runner. Then I foiled a sentiment and leafy branches in gold using the Glimmer Leaf Panel Plate Set, cut them out with the coordinating dies (label die from the Clear Stamp & Die Set of the Month for the sentiment), and popped them up in the lower right corner with foam adhesive. A few Gold Mix Gems finish off this simple and pretty card.
EMBOSSING FOLDER OF THE MONTH
Lastly, let me finally introduce you to this month’s Embossing Folder of the Month, “Seamless Floral Background“. It is the perfect subtle background for spring cards or anytime cards and I’ve already used it in so many examples this month! I embossed a panel of Waterfall Cardstock and matted it with Mirror Gold Cardstock for this easy hello card.
The floral swag was created by applying Gold Hot Foil to white cardstock using both the Glimmer Leaf Panel and Glimmer Edge Stylized Floral Plate & Die Set. I colored the branches using the Leaf Panel Stencil and Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn Distress Inks and the flower with Copic markers. After adding a sentiment cut with this month’s Large Die of the Month Kit, I embellished with a few Gold Mix Gems.
